Met W yesterday. We talked like 1 1/2 hours in the street! In the cold. Again, LOL. Why?
I wanted in one direction and he in the other.
We danced on the narrow sidewalk as others wanted to pass by.
He´s not 84 but 86 and will show me soon pics from when he was a model for a day!
Likely when - as he asked - I´ll bake an onion-cake.
A child of WWII and could not take the model-job as he was in the Bundeswehr aka army at the time as an adult.
Am I thankful Ingo went the unconventional way!
Usually the older invites the younger to the casual "du", but Ingo just went... and W was a bit... huh???, but ever since we´re friends.

Dear friend Iris, there is a channel on YouTube that I subscribe to. A lady and her husband live and cook like people did in the 1800s. It is very relaxing and enjoyable. The channel is called Early American.

I couldn't posibly stand talkng for an hour and a half, I'm not good at talking and in the cold too!
Here in Adelaide many old houses have barriers and warning signs when they are being demolished, because of the asbestos, the workers wear masks and the area is hosed all the while to stop any fibres from flying around, all the pieces are put in a giant dumpster with the lid kept closed and then taken away by a big truck with flashing lights. K lives in an old house and the chimney hood over the stove is made from asbestos but it is painted over so is safe as long as it doesn't get cut or cracked.

Oh, what? You still have the asbestos-problem? Ingo was in that school in the 1970´s... Seesh, Australia usually is ahead of us!
Nice to catch up with a friend. I made that onion cake you shared about a while back, it was yummy.
K's house is very old, built in 1920 when asbestos was common and no one knew it was bad, but her stove hood which is the asbestos is completely sealed with many years of paint. It is only dangerous if it is cut or cracked so loose fibres escape and float in the air to be breathed in. Her landlord is very careful to make sure it isn't damaged each year when he checks.
