What Did We Do Back Then

Pics are still from last Sat - I took over 40 pics that day!

In 1995, when we first traveled Australia for 6 months sharp, we took 230.
In six months!

For once, films were expensive.
And certainly we had no idea if the films survive the heat in the car.
They did.

These days.... pics, pics, pics.
If we had the technology in 1999, when we travelled another 7 months mostly through WA and NT, I would still sit and sort through pics, huh?!
(How I would love to do that! It´s all but in our heads...)

We still have not been up - you can visit Brunonia!

Saturday summer paid a visit. This is not Forrest Place in Perth but is nice also, no?

Now I´m finally through with last Sat - and I didn´t show all the pics I took even!

Other news.
Not good ones.
There is actually no hope for teamleader´s girlfriend.
By now she cannot even sit.
Second chemo´s planned on Monday.
They can maybe stop cancer but the nerves are good for gone. Or a miracle happens...
No autonomous breathing. Parenteral nutrition. No speech, but 100% clear in her mind.
It´s hard to listen to all of this, hard to not cry. Well, not when he´s around, that is.
I have to write it down to get it "out".
Friends have left him, he never mentions anyone.
Family accuses him he didn´t do enough.
That is not true.
So not true.
I so hoped to hear better news after his short "holidays".

Friend P understands it´s not easy to kinda escort someone in such a situation, she´s a big help.
And long hugs from Ingo help also.

I got all this whilst T likely is by himself or in hosp.
I feel "bad" having fun, eventually...

Ingo packed the last piece of the very, very yummy pie for T (they know each other)...

It´s a gesture.
Maybe it helps him a wee bit....
Life isn´t fair at times.
