(Don´t) Beam me up, Scotty

It happened to T´s MIL a while ago. The backside of her old cellphone fell off.
Since she eats a lot of cake it was full of tiny crumbles soon and "died"" for good.

That´s what he told me, seeing how I - knowingly no cake/Cookie-monster - "repaired" my cell...

I bet I could do a while with it that way, no?
At least till I buy a new one in Perth.
Or, I could use my HUAWEI, but I hate that I have to recharge every second day!

Next day T brought me this...

Reminds me of Star Trek´s Communicator, no?
It´s his daughter´s old cellphone (a Mum already herself) and if the battery lasts long I got a new cellphone! :-)

He got used to his smartphone, but admids, yepp, this dino fits in the pocket of your jeans. The second thing that bugs me with the smartphones!

But... who cares, it´s just "beautiful" anyways.

But... "dying"... it´s still around.
T´s girlfriend doesn´t let go. Now they even cut her short on morphine, all she gets are pain killers. And depression. Which is no surprise. All she can move a bit are the legs, hearing is gone again, too.
Yet I have the feeling this long, slow process helps him to come to terms with it.

I mean... he can do funny things like this, no?
And we laughed a lot getting it all to work, the time, date, clock, all the settings.
We´re the last ones left in the office by now, too.
