The innkeepers are married since 52 years.
They work every day, seven days a week, also on holidays from 09:00 pm (or twenty-one-hundred ;-)...) till 05:00 am. Unless it´s already 04:50am, then Dieter stays a tad longer so you get your meal (Germans are punctual. For when you meet, but there is almost always an open end ;-)...).
He and his wife Renate are 80 years old... or... young! And they have FUN doing the job!
Retire? Nooooo! Three generations now doing the job, how sweet and special is this?
The Black Button. I´ve never been there, it´s here since 50 years, the oldest night-restaurant in Braunschweig, but, well, my days working shift and craving something like that in the morning are loooong over anyways ;-)

This looks like a terrific spot. It will be a sad day when it's no longer there but I hope that's not for awhile!
