Back then, when I was still going to the gym, I suddenly was surrounded by three of them. I felt like a dwarf!
Friendly smiles from above, also... in comparison to how much weight I had (broken arm, not so much) and those pros!
It was a tool for four... I was there first, I think otherwise I would´ve not dared, which is nonesense, they are nice and since their training place is just around the corner I am now used to see those Giants :-)

I'm always astonished at how high those basketballers can jump. I can't jump at all. I think they must have springs instead of bones at their ankles.

I just read your comment about jumping not being healthy. I can assure you, as a former basketball player myself, it's a LOT safer than any football or ice hockey game where the player's head is always at risk.
Elizabeth, that is true, too, as a big American Football fan I am often freaked out by how much noise those helmets cause, and I know how heavy they are... But then, I just watch ;-)
Yes, and with todays shoes it´s probably not going on your ankles to jump.

...I'm not a fan either, but I like the action in this mural.
The artist's decision to have them jump so high that their heads leave the picture -- very creative!! The selection of athletes for their enormous size has a lot of consequences in making the games pretty dangerous.

Mae, you are right, the heads are missing, thank you for pointing it out! I mean, I saw it but never thought about the why. Maybe I should watch a game sometime...?
I remember going to the University Union Cafeteria with my dad for dinner off and on when I was just starting my job on campus and the basketball team (Magic Johnson was one of them!) would come in. They were always so friendly and nice to dad, too, which was heartening. And you're right -- SO TALL!
