Not really sure what to think about it.
Our city has "Selfie-Points", showing you how to get the best shot with Henry in the background (or whatever).
I understand you do this when there is no one (you trust) around, waaay back then I did that, too.
Why?
Dunno, even!
I hate having my pic taken and then, far away with no one I knew.. I took a selfie.
Back in the day you asked a stranger if he could take a pic of you, I remember a bigger group in Mexico who gave Ingo their camera for this.
Trust - we won´t run away with your cam whilst you arrange yourself for the best pose.
These days... Ingo still tends to do that. Me... Last time he did this I was prepared for a chase!
And I usually wear sneakers, too ;-)

I'm the one who is usually never in the photos unless we ask someone else to take the photos, otherwise I'm always the photographer.
Not one for selfies and I find it ridiculous to take selfies when all you can see is the face and nothing of interest behind you!
I have no interest in taking Selfies, I'd much rather photograph anything else out there. If I want to see myself, I'll look in a mirror. And I use a real camera, not my phone to take photos.
...I must be too old, all of this selfie stuff don't interest me!

Selfies are dumb and I don't do them. I carry around a camera, don't have a smart phone. Just read a story about someone who was flying and their "smart" phone ended up roaming and the person got a very expensive bill. Nt so smart after all. :)
We're dealing with storm Brendan right now with gusty winds and rain. It's too bad we just can't turn the dial to the spring option, wouldn't that be nice. Enjoy your day, Iris.
Haha, that is really not so smart!!! I do have a "smartphone" but only with WiFi. My normal phone cannot go online, it´s but a cellphone.

good morning, we don't use smart phones-I wasn't brought up to be connected to everyone and every minute of the day-I think that is all too much. Phones are for staying in touch, emergencies, business etc but not 24/7 like so these days use them.
I don't and wouldn't do selfies-why do I want a photo of myself in every photo-I think that is crazy and being "full" of ones self haha I am a senior now so I just don't get this behavior of life style-too many live in their phone and don't really live-if that makes sense haha I followed a friend on facebook that went on vacation and every single photo had her in the photo in front of the scenery-ok I am done with my rant now but you asked lol
I´m so with you! Oh so often the company that serves my cell-phone (no internet possible, just a phone) cannot charge cause I have a bill of, say 35 cents. So they have to wait till I reach 1 Euro. They do hate me :-)
I don´t like my pic taken, either, no idea what that was on that day back then!
I take the most awful selfies. I know some people who have perfected the art. :)
I'm not much of a selfie person, myself but sometimes it's easier to take a pic of you in your surroundings just the way you want it. I find that when others take pictures of me, only I'm in it and you don't see the beauty of the location. :D

I always work with a camera not a phone and selfies are never as good as if someone takes a pic of you -- especially in a cool place or with someone! Pretty colors here!

I rarely turn up in photographs.
Nay! Nay! A thousand times Nay! I *hate* that people can’t enjoy the beauty of nature or a historical location unless they themselves are the main thing in the picture. So egotistical. Yes, in the days before “selfies” another traveler (a stranger) often asked us if we’d like to have them take our picture ... I always said no, not because I didn’t trust them, but because I just don’t think we need to be in every picture just to prove we were there. .... that said, of course I love seeing pictures of our grandkids and great-grands, so ...I guess it is just me I don’t want to see j)),
When I first heard of selfie. Was my daughter in law and what came my mind. She couldn't get anyone to take her picture...slapping forehead.
I only took a few of my self, I think it for younger crowd

I like the murals, they've made a wall much more interesting, as for selfies sometimes I'm terrible with them, snapchat is one app that is quite addictive.
