As you might know I hate the cold, the dark half of the year.
But that´s life, right - I can always look at Bill´s sheep that spring into Spring to make it easier and when I turned the page on the calendar I was thrown back to a beautiful, nearly-good-bye, where Grace and her Hubby took me to Cottesloe´s Sculpture by the Sea - where- amongst the real art we found this beach-art - kids decided to participate - it looked like what you see here! - , and I sure will think of this!
You know... we left early March back to Germany from Perth. It was frickin´ cold, but SPRING was on the way!
So, thank you, October. This reminds me of friends... and of kids! My Brother was born this month.
My kindy-friend´s name was Thomas and I really managed to make my parents name my Brother as second name exactly that - I thought we can play right away, but all he did was drink, poop and cry. Oh, and pee, "arch" gets a different meaning 😉

Yes. 2019. A wonderful year (in some ways), a beautiful calendar by Wendy Binks and certainly this makes my mind sing (the neighbours sure are happy it´s only my mind!!!)
And, since we´re in Perth-area: Grace sure made it possible I smile every time I walk into the living room... here is...
If you´re new here: The firefighters produce this calendar from their budget and the money goes to the Perth Children's Hospital - so sweet of them, huh. And, yes, there are female firefighters to adore for Ingo, too! We both thank you, Grace!
Freddie was the most incredible singer ever. No one comes close to him. His vocal range, his passion was incredible, there will never be another who won't even match his talent. If he was alive today I would like to hear his opinion about the music. Today you are very musical ♬! I also loved the second song "The Sound of Silence"! This was a pleasant read. I like Fall / Autumn, but I don't like the cold Winter that follows. Just like I like Spring, but not the hot summer that follows.
I should be back to visiting more regularly, now that my living room project is done. As an FYI, later today, some lion statue photos will be popping out on my blog. (I'll try to remember to send you the link when they do, but I'll probably forget.)
I'm so happy the Fireman's calendar brings a smile every month Iris, it's the present that keeps on giving 😉 Always enjoy your Freddie videos, Bedwas the best. Imagine if Bedwas still alive he would have been 74 this year💙
Henry looks a little sad about going back to the cold weathered country. You got to go through the cold to reach the warmth and then you'll appreciate it more. :) Have a great weekend.
Not sure how, but I suddenly got looped into 2015. What can I say? Now I'm playing catch up here. Nice looking guy in the Fireman's calendar. It's fun and he's a cutie. Henry looks sad to be leaving, though.
I love autumn, it's my favorite season, even though it gets tougher to love here because of the fires. However, I was never a big fan of the dark season when I was still living in Germany and I'm not sure I would like it anymore if we had to return. While the days get shorter here as well they're still longer than in Germany - and certainly not as cold.
