It´s the time of the year again.
Go into the city, buy a gingerbread-heart and help the Transportation-club. The money goes to projects for kids, teens and seniors.
Reckon this year will be a bit difficult and since I don´t eat sweets anyways, I still have mine:
Must´ve bought it 2017. I remember I bought three, two to give away to family and they likely were munched down 😁

Here in the Netherlands is everything also cancelled in the city. This year it will be different everywhere.

You could always decorate for Christmas with them. I think that is traditional, at least here in my part of the world. I think it sounds like a worthwhile cause.
Since we have to be home for the winter I was looking forward to our Christmas markets as well. But we were put into lockdown for 28 days on Monday, so they have all been cancelled.
There are some drive thru lights displays but that is not the same.

Erika, yes, it is for a good cause! And always (not just for Christmas) decorates the swing (hence the hanger gave in and I took the pic on the stove..).
Interesting.
We had some little Lebkuchen hearts covered with chocolate recently but ate them up right away, not sharing your dislike of sweets!

The heart cookies are such a good idea. And I love that last photo of Henry. The lighting is spectacular.
Those hearts are wonderful. That's one of the drawbacks of this virus, other than no Christmas markets where you live. That is the charities suffer terribly, especially since so many people are out of work and have no food. Since we didn't get a stimulus check, many people are out of work and are in fear of losing their homes and apartments the first of the month. If they can't pay for groceries, they definitely can't give to a charity.
I think Germany is famous for its Christmas markets. Too bad they have been closed due to the pandemic. I think the cookie sale is for a worthy cause.
Waaaa I would love a bite of that heart shaped cookie! Okay I'm lying, I would never want to bite on that to be honest because it's just too beautiful to devour! I remember when I was in high school, I saved up some money and got my Mom a small, cheap heart shape cake but it was super cute! Shen she was already cutting it I felt really sad inside and kept telling myself 'It's okay, it's not mine, it's Mom's" because its just so cute!!!
