This book was a pressie from my dear Mum years ago, a book by Janosch, whose stories and characters I love (you can see/read more of them being home here).
24 little stories about the adventures of the good and bad animals and humans, about what and why they wish for things - see the fun page of Stripey Tiger Duck and her friends here.
I sent the book to my Bro´s place (after asking if they want it) and added a letter to the Nieces along with it.
It explains it´s actually from their Omi. They know their Omi is "somewhere up there", my big Niece met her but cannot remember, my Mum passed when she was two years old.
I hope they appreciate the book.
I didn´t expect to be able to work on really thin paper with 350C hot air, but it worked just fine!

Spare Parts and Pics, sorry it´s on the way to the Nieces already ;-) But some of the books are available in English, too (other you really look for German?). For example "The Trip to Panama" (very sweet and clever, they end up at...), "Little Tiger, get well soon"...
The characters in this book look familiar Iris, I think there is also a translated into English version oui? I think your niece will love it, even more so because of the link to your mum đ

A book is a great gift to give. I remember receiving some books from my aunts when I was young. I'm sure they will love it.
