It's strange that some people can't be bothered with the rules or at least to feel the need to protect themselves and others...
Unfortunately, there are and always will be people who don't obey the rules and that's a bad thing for us elderly people. The number of people on the i.c. here in hospitals is increasing all the time and that is very disturbing.

Though (German) simple masks (which most are wearing) don´t really work as the virus has a size of 160 nanometer, that is 0,16 micrometer.
Pores in simple masks have a size of 0,3 micrometer... Like "an open window" for Corona.
I got this from p. 65 in the book "Corona - false alarm?" by Dr. Karina Reiss (researcher in bio-chemistry, infectious diseases and medical science) and Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi (specialist for microbiology, cell biology and infectious diseases).
It´s a good book and I wish more people would read it instead of listening to what gov is selling us.

Tine, in the book I´m referring to here above they also mentioned a 103 and a 105 year old who survived the disease. The problem is when other issues are around, like diabetes, weak heart, weak lungs and this can also effect young people.
I think we simply still not know enough/don´t listen to scientists careful enough.
I am sorry that many people don't care about the safety of themselves and others anymore ..., either because they are bored with the pandemic situation or because they have no tolerance.
I think it´s both as govs keep failing...
The gravity of the situation is lost on them. We have them here too who wear the mask on the chin!

People hear something over and over and over and over and they become conditioned. Trump is a MASTER at that. He knows if he calls Democrats and Independents "Socialists" long enough, it will stick with those who are afraid of socialism. Instead of trying to learn the truth, they become numb sheep and immune to what's in front of them. Anyone can say masks don't work, but I won't give mine up, even though I have to wash it every time I use it, which is every time I go outside my home. Great signs, Iris. Henry obviously approves, too.

Erika, yes, people got tired of hearing it non-stop.
In every single news they throw new numbers - Hubby knows ONE person who got tested and I only know two. All negative. And in mentioned book (here in comments) I read that the tests we have here are unreliable...
People really are odd Iris, it's like if I you find a spot on an empty beach the next people who come down will sit really close.. WHY when there is a long empty stretch either side.. I like to be a bit away from other people even before Covid.. I'm just unsociable 😁
Vast numbers of people do not use their heads as evidenced by their failure to wear a mask. Even if the particle size of Coronavirus is small, masks catch a majority of the virus breathing in and out. Not using their heads is also evident in their votes for an egotistical authoritarian in our recent election.
Cute signs. I don't go to the store anymore, but hubby does. So far, he has not complained about non-compliance.

People who aren't able to keep to the rules on this thing dismay me. Ending it means keeping in step with what doctors and health professionals are asking us to do.
I don´t know about Canada, but here politicians rule, not doctors and pros.... It´s stupid that rules here in Germany.

The pile of missing brains must be getting bigger. :) No keeping the distance problems here. Our numbers are going down right now and that's good. Unfortunately I think the holidays will bring the numbers back up.

We still have circles or crosses (X's) and lines on our shop floors and people are still obeying the rules here, although not many wear a mask anymore, they still sanitise their hands before entering the store. Perhaps that is why our only cases are the people in quarantine who are returning from overseas.
Yes, we have lines everywhere still, too. People tend to ignore that!
I hope these lines stay forever - it won´t go faster at the checkout when a stranger sits in your neck, I always hated that.
