Ingo gave me a list of doctors - he needs an MRI.

Crazy, though, how different it is.
One told me Ingo is to bring a huge towel. The lady was super-mega-nice! 😍
Shoot, she asked for his date of birth.
Me: "ohhhh... wait...." She laughed. By golly, I once called Ingo on his Birthday for PC help and missed it´s his Birthday. I´m bad with dates! She said, "well, at least he cannot hear you now!"...
The next asked me in German, English and French to wait. Along with bad music.
Then "end of October, earliest", I skipped that.
The following needs a blood test (why not the others, now, where to go, who knows the job????)
The last on the list asked which insurance Ingo has.
I always gave my number and said - and will - call the ones Ingo says no to.
How can it be that there are so many different approaches?!
They all asked, though, if Ingo is claustrophobic.
No one asked me that when I had my MRI.
The stupid doc back then just said I may get burnings 3rd grade with the metal in my arm.
The clever nurse asked when the OP was and said, "nahhh, nothing will happen" - she was right.
I used to HATE being on the phone.
But ALL these people were so friendly!!! I want an MRI now, too (KIDDING, the noise drove me nuts, and no one warned me before!!! I really thought that darn thing detected my metal and this is a warning before burning down the house me!!!!

I don't like being on the phone either. I won't make my husband appointments. They always ask things I cannot answer. I do remember his birthday-smile, but not everything else they always want to know. And my husband needs lots of appointments! He could use a secretary though. He isn't very organized. Happy new week! Thanks for info on vegan food portions too. No wonder why my sister-in-law (and mother of the bride) said she didn't want to have a vegan wedding. No one expects to leave the wedding hungry.
Well. What to say? I think vegan is a "hype" - it´s not healthy. Here was a couple who gave their Baby/small child but vegan food, it nearly died.
If you decide for that, go ahead, but a Baby/child?! They took it away, rightfully, I think.
Well today really was a fun day of phoning and I think I just "grow up" finally 😉
You made me smile Iris 😊 just this very evening Aimee was here for dinner after work and I have two phone calls to make for her tomorrow, to book a hair appointment and car service! Even though she has a high powered job she absolutely hates making personal appointments on the phone, always has! I don't get it 😀

I agree about phones. I avoid those whenever possible, but with doctors it's often necessary.
Too bad that Ingo needs an MRI. Hope all goes well. And it must be frustrating for people to ask you questions that you cannot answer. LOL.

My dad used to have a secretary named Janet. He liked her because of her efficiency. When I took over his paying his bills, etc. I was his Janet. Himself hates to make appt. on the phone so I'm now his Janet.

I don't like being on the phone, argh. It makes it easier if people are nice. Sometimes I don't understand what they say, then I'm like "sorry, could you please repeat that, I'm not a native speaker"... argh again. I hope you find a good doc for Ingo's MRI. I never had one and certainly don't have any desire for one.
I hate talking on the phone, but I don't mind when it's a phone appointment with my doctor, so I don't have to go to the clinic, just ask on the phone for my prescription repeats to be faxed to my local chemist. anything else and I would rather send an email.
I had an MRI once and the noise didn't bother me at all, just a constant low humming.
I would suggest you/he takes the first available appointment to get it over with.
I'm so lucky I live alone and the vet has all records of the boys. I don't go to doctors, so I haven't had one since I moved here. I have a vet, though, Guess you know where my priorities are.
I HATE the MRI tube! It's so loud. That's a lot of different approaches. I wish I had someone to make my appointments -- I hate doing that!
It's call waiting that drives me nuts.
