Oh, I looked SO forward to these and asked Ingo to bring an extra-bunch.
Boy.
The pumpkin from the market was crap and so were these.
I tried it a second time like this:
And I can cook, so the next two days...
The obligatory:
Monday I got bread for Ingo, yippeee, walking doesn´t hurt much no more. Did some job-research (as every day, but this day for a real purpose!).
Tuesday... another Spinach-cheese-pie!!! (such an exciting life)
Wednesday.... total brainer with tests, 2 1/2 job-interviews via Microsoft Teams, phone calls.
Ingo got me a pro-mike and possible boss was very impressed, LOL:
Thursday: shock! Uh. Taxes last year for private persons due in December. Now October 31st, hence November 01st.
The program... really... they need 10 testers!!! I kept on going. Saw.... 14 pages later, ahhh... they wanted this here? No. Really. Test your program. It was a pain in the but#! Correct it yourself or send it back.
Called the city of Harzburg for infos... and the guy was so friendly!
I got used to / lost my fear of calling people or using monitor and mike.
Progress, huh?
Friday 05:45 a call... I think I got A JOB! Off soon to sign the contract.
And I learned Basil helps against thin hair????
Saturday I got up at 04:00 - I´m just so freaked out the job offer isn´t real. Ingo later made "spaghetti", I still eat on - I cannot eat, I´m so nervous.
Sunday. Nervous, Kids-TV and Footy. Ingo kept telling me "you have the job!"
What a week (again!) As this is for Elizabeth´s T Stands For Tuesday I present you what Ingo brought me to the PC-table:
Henry 🦁... well today I give you
Nervous, nervous, nervous. Thankfully sneakers are OK these days - no way I walk 3 km in high heels or come with a huge bag so I can change shoes before going in.
Just as info Braunschweig is dependent on Volkswagen Wolfsburg and I don´t wanna drive no more... this job is in Braunschweig.
Hope it´s afternoon soon and it went well. That would be a very happy T-Day!
I hope to say soon:
ADDENDUM!!! I GOT THE JOB - Yipeeeee

Dearest Big Sis you got me so nervous and very excited! I pray for your job and I know you will do awesome!!! Sending you big big hugs and keep warm as I know it's starting to get cold out there because it is here (Well you know that 24C is VERY cold already here HAHA)
Wishing you all the best and praying for the best!
Good luck on the job and I hope it is real and you do well and the job searching is over. The mike may have done it - I want one!!!
Love the journal as always and your fun food.
Now the trick will be balancing the job, the journal and art, cooking, and blogging - dont give up any of them.
Happy T-day and Hugz!
Taxes are such a nuisance to file.
And exciting week and taxes, too! Happy T Day!
Dearest lille Bro - I got the job!!!
24 C and cold, funny you. But we have some 12C, that´s still OK :-)
Hugs to you! Now I only need to fit in at the big Player!
____
Nancy, it worked and wee, you can fall into a song with the mike (I wont ;-)...)
I hope I´ll fit all the things in, sport added.
So relieved Part I - hugz!
____
William, seems like no one likes doing that ;-)
____
CJ, yes exciting... minus the taxes!
...Iris, have a very happy T-Day and every day that ends in a Y!
Congratulations! You got the job! So happy for you, Iris. So when are you expected to start on your job?
Good luck with day 1 of your new job. It is scary and exciting at the same time! And have you tried broiling brussel sprouts? With a little oil, salt and pepper. Once you do that, it is hard to eat them any other way. Yum. I want some now. Thinking of you and wishing you luck! Hugs-Erika
Good morning, we love brussel sprouts too, little mini cabbages haha. Always enjoy seeing Henry and your journal pages-good luck and taxes-just got our bills too Happy T and November too hugs
Good luck with the new job. How exciting!
Brussel sprouts? You can have mine ;) Happy T Tuesday!
Tom, thank you!
____
Nancy, thank you, yippeeee. Either in 14 days or December. Time to breathe :-)
____
Erika, LOL, CERTAINLY I boiled the Brussels Sprouts, ewwww, you can eat them raw?!
Yes, scary and exciting. Oh, boy, hope I´m not too dumb! Hugs from here.
____
Kathy, yes, hm. Next time I buy them frozen, I think, these really were... we had a shit#y summer.
No taxes-doing today, I had too much stress for that ;-) Happy November, hugs from here
____
Divers and Sundry, thank you, luck I still need.
Well if your Sprouts are as bad as mine... no thanks ;-)
I only eat Brussel sprouts with Christmas dinner (tradition) but I have a friend who loves them and eats them all year round - eek! Happy T Day Elle/EOTC xx
That is so exciting that you got a job! I hope that it goes well! So glad to hear that you are continuing to heal and in less pain.
Yum to the Brussel sprouts! I love them but no one else in my house does.
Your journal looks great.
I would like to get one of those professional mikes so I can make videos. They are definitely better and cut out all the white noise.
Let us know how your first day of work goes!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Yayyyy!
Hoping all goes well with your new job-yay!! I love Brussel sprouts too, and now have added them to my shopping list for tomorrow:) My favorite way to prepare them is by roasting them.
Happy T day!
Elle, then it´s something special to eat :-)
___
Kate, yes to all!
Same here with the Bussels Sprouts - Ingo health-wise is not really allowed to eat them anymore.
The mike is not expensive!! Mine was € 49 / US$ 57 - look here.
And with usb you can use everywhere :-)
Ohhhh, I look forward and am afraid of the day at the Big Player!
____
magiceye: yes!
____
Linda, oh, I hope so, too!!!!
:-) yay to (good!) Brussels Sprouts!
Ohhh I so love brussel sprouts. Yum
Congratulations on getting the job!!! That must be such a relief. When do you start? Will you tell us what kind of job you got? - Argh, I don't like doing taxes. However, I can assure that German Stuererklärung is a Kinderspiel compared to its US counterpart. - We love brussels sprouts and often eat them sauteed. My mom used to boil them, that was terrible... (and she usually was a good cook!)
I love Brussels Sprouts and eat them often. Sorry yours weren't good.
Love your calendar pages. You DO have a more interesting life than mine. I never leave my house. But I will today because I'm going to vote in a few minutes.
Nice of Ingo to bring you the coffee. Good luck with the job. Thanks for sharing your week, your calendar, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday, Iris.
That's great news that you REALLY got the job. No worries!
Nicole, yes!
____
Carola, I´ll write handbooks in German and translate them to English.
Elster is horror, not even the guys from the tax-office use the free but very complicated program.
Yay to Brussels Sprouts :-)
____
Elizabeth, as soup they were yum!
Yay for voting!!!
And yips, Ingo can be a gentleman :-)
____
Bill, YES. Hope all goes well with the customer.
Hurray for you! Bravo!!
Jippeeee :-)
Congratulations!! You got the job!! How exciting! (and scary too, I bet)
When do you start?I hope you have a little time before you start to get used to the idea. Is it far from where you live?
Brussels sprouts? No thank you. I have never liked them. My husband is British and they eat them at their Christmas meal (Yuck) Every year he makes me eat at least one sprout.
What is coffee batida? I've not heard of that one.
Tax returns.... what a palaver. I earn so little that i don't pay tax (fortunately) and hubby only has a state pension and the tax gets deducted automatically so no tax return necessary. Phew. Not our favorite job.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Such good news that you got the job.
Sending congratulations and good luck wishes.
All the best Jan
Good luck with the job. Fortified with Brussel sprouts you can't go wrong! And kudos for wearing sneakers. Women have ruined their backs for far too long wearing high heels.
Congratulations on getting the job! I wish you a wonderful rest of the week. Happy T Day!
I knew it! I knew you got the job, because I woke up feeling happy. Good idea for Ingo to buy the mike, that way everyone can hear you better and it makes you look more professional.
Congrats on getting the job!
Taxes suck!
Happy Wednesday, Iris.
I'm strange I like Brussel Sprouts. Math makes me nervous.
Coffee is on and stay safe
Kisca, jetzt, it´s scary, too... I´ll start either in two weeks or December 1st.
It´s only 4 km from home, so I can walk!!
That´s not a nice preoscpect for Christmas then with something you don´t like to eat!
Batida is some coconut-"liquor", Ingo adds a wee bit to coffee instead of milk.
I sadly since I inherited a condo to rent out... do the darn taxes... oh, well! Hugs and have a nice day!
____
Jan, thank you!
____
David, thank you and yes, especially to the shoes!!!
____
Sharon, thank you!
____
River, that is ... wow to you having a good feeling about the job! Your German genes, huh! Yes, the mike is really good!
____
Veronica Lee, thank you and yes, ewww for the taxes!
____
Dora, Brussels Sprouts are yum - and taxes are sure not....
Yum, I'm one of the few people who appreciate brussel sprouts, everyone I go says ewww and I'm glad it's not just me that grates cheese over soup.
I grill my brussels sprouts in the oven, with olive oil over them, garlic and salt. They get a bit toasted and are delicious.
Amy, that´s funny :-)
____
Sami, I think they were not good due to our "summer" that not was...
First of all - Good Luck with the new job! I love Brussels Sprouts - always happy when it's the new season! Your calendar looks great. How lovely to have your coffee brought to the PC - I would be dangerous if I had drink nearby!!! Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
An eventful week, huh?!
You're going to have a happy weekend. :)
