There's not much we in the states can do until Putin crosses the line. There are talks now that he has committed war crimes and they (NATO) are talking about bringing charges against him for that.
I'm glad there are countries taking them in right now. Until they can go home, which will hopefully be sooner than later. I am so sad that there might be a lot left of the country when that happens. Hugs-Erika
Erika, I´m afraid Putin wins. Then we´re all in trouble. All we can do is hope the Ukrainian people get enough weapons, sad and brutal as that sounds. They need to defend themselves. Wonder if it´s but the woman and her kids and the husband had to stay to fight?
I can't even imagine having to run with nothing but a bag of clothes and a phone. I wonder what Putin's mother would think of his actions? I'm crying every night as I watch the TV news. I'm so glad these people at least have somewhere to go, so many neighbouring countries to take them in and help. I wonder how many will go home again, or make a new life somewhere else?
The Ukrainians are determined to go back, most, at least. They WERE in the USSR and don´t want to come back - the want a free Ukraine, be a part of Europe! Yes. What would Putin´s mother think. She would be soooo ashamed. The whole world hates him, for a reason.
It's hard to leave not knowing what you will find when you go back. It's even harder knowing that there is a real possibility that you will never be able to go back.
