Crazy, I didn´t even need the alarm clock, my brain wakes me up in time for duty (05:something).

Took it - as promised to Ingo - slow.
Had all my bank data put into an Open Office Excel Sheet for the taxes, did the math.
Slowly, slowly went to get Ingo´s bread.
Baby-steps, right. Just bit of coughing, sneezing (the neighbors thank me for the noise, I bet) and only two tissues to fill.
The Little Prince was on TV.

Tuesday: Slept in till a wee after 08:00am (OK... I´m on holiday, OK?) - happy news: could just EAT at lunch!!!!
What a joy! Minor coughing etc... on the way UP!
Cleaned a weeee bit (promise to Ingo to start slow).
Weird enough it took me to the loo first and then the bathroom.
Despite I only spend minutes there and complained to Ingo the living room drives me nuts.
NO taxes. They will tell me off anyways.
Wednesday: Wanted to... no, my body forced me to stay in bed and I´d promised to Ingo to take it slow but REALLY?!
Neighbor above ... DINOSAUR... STOMP, STOMP, STOMP.
When I still drove or walked to work I put my street shoes on last sec, person above at once.
Next... TV... Dead man switch. What is this?!!! I´m on (sick-)holiday!
Then... slowly... went recycling for money and grocery-shopping at EDEKA.
Forgot butter, darn you, mushy-brain!
Recycled bottles... look how ... argh (I threw mine in the one that had space, no matter the color - they likely end up in one container together anyways).
Now who is supposed to clean that up?! Dumbheads everywhere...
Went to REWE and the human cash-out was empty, so I went there.
We know each other since years, this lady never talked much BUT!!!!
"Happy New Year!", she opened the conversation with, and we chatted! Nice.
And! She said she uses the self-check-out! Some people just crack you up, no?!
Thursday: Toc-toc. Maintainance-guy... He always has to make sure you know he cleans the hall.
I woke with Ingo at 04:00 but stayed in bed till 08:30! Guess that flu still takes a while :-(
By now I suspect it´s the first flu of my life (and please the last one, too! - I NEED a doctor!)
Called the heating-company who helped us out in the cold. (We are customers since 2011).
WO-HOOOO!!!!
Nothing on paper - the bill came not via traditional mail but online! Or not! She sent it again (it wasn´t even in spam and came directly to my inbox on second try!), we had a very nice chat and the heating gets checked soon, too.
"Tadaa"! Thank you, Ingo - I forgot about it! It´s not half of what I expected, too.
Said, as joke, if we don´t pay you come late next time or not all all ;-)
"In that order", she replied. With a smile, of course!
Taxes. Called my old company. Nice chat, casual "du".
Taxes. Do I have to say more???? Each year they add more stuff to nag you with.
Jumanji was on. BUT! It was the new version. And I liked it!

Friday: I am getting old.
I was better, got up earl(ier) and wanted to transfer money (if it only grew on trees!) to the heating company and my Brother (glasses).
With PC and Smartphone and felt 1000 passwords later I got it all on the PC.

Sunday: TV and rest. Being sick sucks.
Elefant got stuck in a bowl but was rescued by Die Maus and Ente.
Made Spaghetti with "my" tomato-sauce. Well. You can eat that. No highlight... Tastebuds are gone with the flu...

My upstairs neighbour is also heavy on her feet, without shoes I hear her as she gets ready for bed, always AFTER I turn off my TV and go to bed, I lie there listening to her heavy steps going from bedroom to bathroom to kitchen to bedroom again and then the opening and closing of drawers and cupboards as she puts thing =s away or gets thing ready for the morning. Why can't she do all that BEFORE I turn off my TV? and why does she wait for my TV to turn off? I go to bed at different times, depending on wat I am watching, but still she is up and going to bed right after I do. she makes me crazy, but I'm not saying anything to her because once she starts talking she never shuts up! I'm glad to hear you are slowly getting better.

Maybe you should get up real early and wake HER up with "normal" movements. Let something drop or such!

I like the new journal Iris. And the dino page really caught my eye. I am making a dino puzzle I received for xmas and I did a dino journal page about it. And I've been doing a lot of housework too. Ohh my last appratment was in the 70's. I just could not do that kind of living. Your new journal is as lively as ever. That egg and ham looks so darn good. As for taking bottles back for the deposit. We have machines at the gorcery store but they never work, are always full and the homless stand there waiting for a person to get all the bottles in then ask for the money. So, we now seperate the bottles from cans and take the bags to the pharmacy. We just put them in a basket and they give us the money. Makes it so much easier. And yes there is so much garbage by the recycle machines here too. Well enough of that. I hope you are feeling better by now.
That's why I own my own home. I could NEVER live in an apartment with others. Not just the loud noises, some people are careless and stupid. They start fires and the building burns beyond repair. Then where are you.
On a different note, I like your new calendar. And I absolutely adore the new glasses Ingo bought. Thanks for sharing your calendar and your new glasses with the drink that contained cinnamon with us for T this Tuesday.
I hope you get those taxes finished soon. It takes me about half a day to get my Federal and State taxes done and filed. I use software that makes it simple and easy,

I read the Little Princw years ago and liked it. I'm glad we don't have people living above us. One place we lived we had people over us and it used to be so aggravating listening to them. Glad that experience is over. Take care and hope you feel better.

Yes, it is annoying to have a noisy neighbor. Here we have our own house and also in the UK we had our own house. But now I have a lodger living on the 3rd and 4th floor. I'm at the bottom so I don't hear him. But when he flushes the toilet I can hear the water coming down the pipe that apparently runs behind our bedroom wall. But it doesn't bother me.
We don't have the 'return for money' system here. I am familiar with it as in Holland they do haVE IT.
I know Le Petit Prince of course but I have never heard of Jumanji. I will Google him.

Es klingt so, als ob es dir besser geht, aber doch noch einen langen Weg vor dir hast. Ich wünsche dir wirklich, dass du bald wieder ganz gesund bist.
In Deutschland habe ich immer nur in Wohnung gelebt und glücklicherweise nicht die ärgerlichen Nervereien gehabt wie du. Hier besitzen wir ein Haus (und wir sind bestimmt nicht reich, allerdings haben wir das Haus gekauft, als die Hauspreise im Keller waren), aber du kannst immer noch laute Nachbarn haben. Zum Glück wurden wir bisher verschont. Weiterhin gute Besserung!
Noisy neighbours are the worst! I can't think about them now, it makes me crazy. One place in Sydney I was downstairs and the new people upstairs, got rid of all the carpets so of course from then on it was just clump clump clump across the floor all the time. I had to move lol. About Star Trek on amazon, I had to take out a 7 day trial of Paramount channel via amazon prime as that is the channel that owns Star Trek. While I was on the trial I also watched some of their other shows, as many as I could in the 7 days lol. See if you can get this trial on amazon.de. Glad you are feeling a bit better. I laughed at some of your journaling... the dinosaur stomping is great! That is great that you are able to eat a little again. It stinks to be sick, especially when you have no appetite.
