Gummy bears in form of anchors (I ate them all up already) - "sweet" memories of my Mum!
(in case I did it again, expecting everyone to know: The seagulls sit in front of a buckthorn-bush)
My Brother organized a short holiday on island Rügen 2011 for the three of us, him, Mum and I. If you´re interested you can read along here.
It was her last holiday, thank you, cancer.
The place Bro´d booked had this drink from the buckthorn as welcome-pressie.
And today, Friday 13th is my Mum´s lucky day, as she always stated ☘🍀
Bitter-sweet smiles when I think of this.
And it´s about Annie´s smiles and Nicole´s faces today, right?
Does it fit? I hope so...
Work was great, another thing to smile big about.

I love the story of the trip with your Mom. As parents age and become infirm it is so important to spend time with them. I didn't get as much of that with my Dad as I would have liked, but I am spending quality time with Mom.
I also clicked back to read about your holiday with your mum. What a privilege that was. And it was such a beautiful place! You had a hotel right by the sea and a lift to get down. Fabulous. Your brother chose well.

I also have heard of buckthorn but didn't know its berries were edible. And I have never seen anchor shaped gummi-bears.
