T Stands For Thermal Runaway

 

With this happy drink I join Elizabeth´s T - this week was hard to be happy, see the journal:

 

Monday: Bad news. mJF called me. We lost Fortescue. See here.

I think it was just too dangerous (thermal runaway).

mFW contacted me, too, showing me the e-mail - Fortescue not even gave a reason for dropping us. 

All the hopes, all the research, all the money.... gone.

And I am with no project, as mM... fear sets in.

What a way to start a week.

 

mJF - he´s Mexican - told me the tacos at my former YUM place were not really authentic (he tried them) - maybe he´ll provide some, though 🌮! I learned a lot about Mexico. I think we both needed some comfort?

He told me what he likes about Germany - even the cold half of the year!!! What a weirdo! (KIDDING).

He likes the health system. And that guns aren´t allowed openly. Yes, well, knives are, though. And axes. But, yes, compared to Mexico we are quite safe here. 

Ingo and I were in Cancun in.. early 2000s - still get goosebumps of fear remembering the guy with the machine gun, though.

Yes. Germany isn´t that bad. (#stinky winter).

 

fK, too, contacted me... other I kept silent. What to do?

Ingo came home with NAMASTE, a small portion we shared. Lunch still for the next day!!!!

Tuesday: mT asked about Mr. Opsi, LOL - a good start to the day (this is a "shop"-system for software that always pops up first cause I work from home, it´s "complicated").

mF called me. Gave me loads of advice, like...

"Do NOT write via e-mail you are willing to go on un-payed holiday to keep the job!"

I am naive, I need this help. And I get it! He said, "I am not your teamlead, I say this simply as mF..."

See, he had his cam on and so I activated mine - this helps. Glad I wore no PJs but proper clothes!

fK called me... it was a tad scary, she thinks something and I say it. 👻💚

fC says she tries everything for jobs for all of us, it´s difficult times.

fH contacted me, too, she is one "high up". Are they all worried?

Now I get really scared.

 

See, I work from home, yet I know so many people already! Let´s hope I can stay >>> Summer-festival I will meet so many in person! 

 

Wednesday: fK contacted me due to the huge fire. Boy, I really made a bad move with the police officer and wearing PJs last time, LOL. I´m wearing  proper jeans. Just so you know. It´s either laughing or worrying.... 

Bro called - we fought about politics/health system/religion so hard I started to cry - I really didn´t want to!!!

He later said he´s sorry - I NEED to avoid these subjects, we are both too stubborn. 

I didn´t expect the crying thing! Weird. I hadn´t heard from him so long and than such stupid subjects! But we are GOOD.

 

Thursday: Oppa/Granpa (work-Lenovo) threw a fit, but HA! Thanks to mT I knew, cut the docking station shortly and all was good again, yippeeee.

Bought wrong stuff (can change tomorrow), doc and I talked privately for half an hour until a phone call interrupted. He´s a bit younger, Greek and we have the same values. Always fun to chat!

Friday: Only 08:00 a.m. and I had to use password twice and PIN 5 times. Crazy in your work-place as well? I mean, really?!

We have a new family-member (Ingo´s words), see here, if you like.

And I had a great time with fK, like in we met for real again. It was so much fun, sadly no pics.

 

Weekend: Saturday: Winter has returned. Ingo came home from grocery shopping with these:

I kissed him on the cheek whist he was still unpacking - C.O.L.D!!!!

But aren´t the flowers too cute? One looks like a ball of grass!

Other I cleaned the fridge and microwave, the fun never ends. 

Ingo repaired my boys´-push-bike. It will go to the cellar as the halfbike is waiting for me.

Sunday: Sleep in, Löwenzahn and Die Maus - a lot about how words and writing and books developed, how music organs are built (sad the Nieces don´t watch this):

 

Then Grimm´s Hänsel and Gretel as fairy tale. Ingo said: This is brutal and not for kids!!!
 

I showed him what River talked me into - the adult version of Grimm! Can´t wait to start!

Wanna finish Warehouse 13 first (episode on Germany: "Wiener Schnitzel" .... that is Austria!) and this and Eureka are in line for fK when the kid´s English is good enough!

 Mushed potatoes, peas and carrots from the tin.... haven´t had this so long and just like fK Ingo knew what I needed - scary, huh?

What a week again.

If I would not write this down.... I´d forget - that would be sad, huh. All the people who helped each other (I did, too)...
