Another look back to our last Perth-visit this year.

I remember when still working for CGS, local. We went to the Brodocz for lunch sometimes, on Sodhexo. You pay half the price with that.
There was a lady, all on her own and I felt so sorry! I thought she was alone, lonely... I was thinking of leaving my colleagues and asking if she wanted company, but my colleague, Iris K, said, no, don´t.
Fast forward and I found myself in Freo, South of Perth, in a pub, the Gage Roads, ordering a beer, on my own.
Not because Ingo was sick or friends had no time, no, because...
I WANTED to be there on my own.
People looked at me in pity.
Can you read me? Sometimes you are just so content with your life you want to enjoy it - just by yourself.
Next I went to Grill´d, same... oh, hey, how often did it happen that a male stranger pops up beside me and the staff assumes I "belong" to him. I admit... I´m awfully happy in Perth and about and from time to time stroll off on my own.

Other, still inviting you to Perth, I found a Jerky-Shop in.the.CBD. !!!!

I handle it as a treat-treat!
Since BSE you are NOT allowed to bring in Jerky from Australia - total nonsense - it is DRIED meat. And in Australia this desease never hit...

I am almost always alone and I am used to it, though I don't go to pubs or restaurants and these days I try to be home before dark too. I don't like jerky, it is too hard to chew.
Yes, my point was alone is not lonely :-)
Most people assume I am lonely cause I "work" from home (hopefully again soon).... But I´m happily by myself and yes, home by dark!
If you wait long enough Jerky gets smooth in your mouth - not that I manage that...
Dear friend Iris, I am almost always alone, I am used to it. I don't go to pubs but I do go to restaurants for breakfast from time to time and I know the waitresses by name, they are like friends. I very rarely go out after dark, only if necessary such as a medical emergency.

It is weird to eat out alone because I think we all think the person is lonely. But I agree, that is not true. And I read the other day paper books are still more popular than e books and audio books. Have a super rest of your week. hugs-Erika

I love to wander about on my own, Iris. And I read paper books all the time.

I think it is good if you are comfortable being alone in a cafe, bar or restaurant. I like my "me" time. Pretty sculpture and I love the Black Swan.
I admit I have no audio book! Someone told me if you dislike the voice or the reading-style the whole book is ruined! So... to paper and kindle... hugs and to a great rest of the week

If I want to eat alone, I'll stay home when Himself goes out to sport . I'd rather go out to eat with Himself or a friend. Much more fun.
