Do You Remember When...

So yesterday we went to church Pauli to see what the kids are out and about these days for St. Martin´s Day.

To my delight there was life-music - not.so.loud!!!

Well, I have to, being the "kid" of an audiologist ;-)

Well, do you remember the days when you went for Laternelaufen, if you did - I bet to some occasion or another?

There was lots of crying, everytime a latern went up in flames, right?

Because... "back then" we had just candles.
Real candles.
With real fire.
Right?

Ingo claims he saw one kid having such a real candle - but all the other kids, pffff... artificial lights.

They simply do not know the fear I had as a kid.
The respect, ha!!!

Ok, it was fear. I hated Laternenlaufen.

The "good ole times"?
Or, as we call it, Lametta, tinsel, it has become a terminology here for good ole times, Lametta!

Well, the kids had fun, that´s what counts, right? :-)
And us, too.
