Roll - Scrunch - Pan
Saturday Ingo remembered the old "Honey Bird", even knew where it was and started preparing his big cooking adventure.
You think it looks icky?
Well, have a closer look:
Awww, sweet memories of STAGGS with noodles and Corned beef with baked beans... coffee, eggs and what else he cooked using the cover against wind.
Ingo made Jamie´s White Fish Tangine and took a bit too much chilli paste:
Saturday it was my turn (and I really should´ve been thinking of using the Honey Bird...):
It´s really so cool to be able to watch Jamie cooking and explaining in addition to the book.
So I rolled, scrunched and pan-ed, roll - scrunch - pan, roll - scrunch - pan,...
Let me tell you:
It seems like I can cook after all, Ingo was full of "praise" :-)
Five portions left to take to work - because... I "oversmelled" my appetite and could only eat very little!
Interesting - a new diet? Cheap, too!
It´s really so sad I cannot invite my Mum over, sit her at the kitchen-table, offer her the meal and say: "I made this, what do you think?"
She banned me from the kitchen at age around 4-5 after having a couple of fits with heat (like my Grandma frying eel and pieces jumped out and jumped some more on the kitchen floor).
Bro was taught cooking, me... not. Get out!
40 years later I can cook a decent meal, Mum.
Never give up that fast on a kid, huh?

So good that you have found the confidence to try your hand at cooking, and Jamie is a good teacher! Well done Iris.
Thank you, Sami - better late than never, right...
That's unusual Iris, that your brother was taught to cook and not you, usually it's the other way around oui!
Grace in both our families it´s the men doing the cooking - also Ingo´s Brother (wife, 4 kids) does the cooking.
Lucky me in the long run, oui!
better late than never, right...
