For a change I used food that was not expired.
Just a bit Basmati-rice, cooked and then fried with canned mushrooms, an egg, Harrissa, fresh parsley and chive and another edible flower, all from the balcony.
I had some "not so nice news" for a lady and as she is really nice I added a little note (I sadly got an apartment inherited, I wish my Mum would still be here instead. After oh sooo many years I raised the rent a bit, as I lost work and as I have to pay more for the apartment, too):
Despite it wasn´t nice she even helped me in reminding me to sign the letter personally!

This highly pregnant woman was so fun and easy to capture, much easier than the skinny ones!

You could see it was already exhausting for her after a while, but guess she was really proud of having a Baby soon :-)
As it´s really getting cold: Tea-time! Since flu is still around tumeric , curcuma, three roots is a good choice to prevent the next, don´t you think?

Tell us more about your sketching group (class?)... looks as if the models are chosen for being interesting. It's inevitable for rents to go up these days, but it must be hard to be a landlord.

Mae it was in the 90´s when I studied that I had the sketching class. As far as I know the models were not paid and made it for fun only.

It doesn't sound as if your tenant was upset Iris, so that's good. Your sketches are incredible, I think curves are always easier that hard lines ✨

Gosh, Iris. I buy a lot of reduced food because it's sell by date has expired. I've never gotten sick from it, either.

What a great post Iris, I love drinking tea. When I am feeling under the weather I drink ginger with honey tea but your tea is very healthy too. I like companies who help people to raise their way of life.

Yes, prices go up everywhere, yet the boss says, sorry, no raise possible - again! - and takes "cheap people" from poor countries!
Sorry for your rent increase and work loss, Iris. I'm glad your neighbor/tenant was nice about it. It was sweet of you to break it to her so gently.
I think round shapes are easier to draw than angles. With angles, I usually get the length of one or more wrong. Thank goodness for erasers!

Prices go up everywhere these days, we all have to cope the best way we can and deal with the situation, even though it can be upsetting for us.

There's nothing wrong with eating expired sell by date food. We do it too sometimes as i forget what stuff is in the fridge.
Yes, turmeric is good for warding off colds etc. I use it in most foods, but I haven never had it in tea. Sounds good.
