Quick Yum, Butterflies & No Six-Thirty No More

When you are in a hurry, try this.
There are different kinds of Prosciutto and this one worked very well.

No additional spices needed, no tools, roll up, put in pan with a little oil, medium-high heat, get back to your workplace for say 5-7 minutes, check, turn, repeat.
Yes, those are the "instructions". Clearly my teacher was Jamie Oliver 😉
You can do it this or your way!

I hate super-clear instructions and Jamie gives one the freedom to explore, that hooked me on. Good teachers are priceless.
This is none of his recipes, of course, way too simple, but quick, effective, yummy and maybe even healthy.

Give it a little more time...

Two pieces make a meal.
I also tried mint.
Don´t.

Art-wise I might not fit in this time, but this is art, if you call it the art of friendship!

Ingo played mailman again...

King Frog was a little... surprised!

The first... or only!... butterfly of the year - he couldn´t believe it!

First?! Let´s roll back, this is what I saw first:

And I instantly knew!... Snail.... ummm...

... from dear Kathy!!! Yippeeee and thank you! What do you do on the beautiful lake?

When done surfin´... relax! And give hugs!

It´s a tiger-butterfly, a cousin of Henry! 🐯

Sadly I´m done with Six-Thirty - Could´ve reckoned by the title I gave myself!
(Two-Forty-One)
Here is the sum-up.

I might carry on with another book I loved.
For now after work I just enjoy doodling/sketching on the balcony.

Really, I repeat myself.
But.
This is the best summer in years!!!! A LOT OF YEARS!

Well, and Henry 🦁

Please find him behind the beautiful flowers Ingo presented me with.

What a lovely butterfly and two on the envelope as well. I like the idea of the prosciutto and cheese, I might try that one day, but with mozzarella cheese since I don't like feta.

Mozzarella is a good alternative for in case of getting bored with feta, thank you! :-)
Yes, such happy mail makes one´s day. Just sad I really saw no life butterfly so far this year!

Good morning, Yum your prosciutto looks and sounds delicious. I love simple foods sometimes, especially in the summer time.
The slow mail is moving to you pretty fast these days-loving that. So happy you enjoyed the butterflies, but sad you haven't seen a butterfly outdoors-they need flowers for food, but your flowers indoors are perfect and are very beautiful! Ingo is special Hugs from the lake Kathy

...a treat that is new to me. Enjoy all the butterflies hat you can. Our mail box is filled with junk every day.

Iris Flavia said...

Kathy, yes, it "cooks" itself, practically!
Thank you, I also loved how you pointed out the date!
In the Frankfurt project some use European, some American standard - in ONE document!!!
You never know whichis which unless you have double-digits after... well you know!

So far 4 flowers bloom on the balcony, but all I see is a moth here and there (or very small white butterflies?)
Thank you for the surprise and hugs!

Tom, it´s really yummy.
And oh... I hope for butterflies to visit! A bit scary I see none.
Yes - mostly junk mail here, too!

Quick and easy lunch, happy mail, beautiful flowers, and relaxing on the balcony. It doesn't get much better than that! Enjoy your day!

You are welcome, I never knew about the different order of the date til you mentioned it-I would never have known that The perennials I planted were to attract butterflies and hummingbirds-so every morning I see a few on the flowers-pretty nice. enjoy the rest of your week and don't work too hard hugs

CJ, lucky, happy, wonderful days - hope you have them, too!

Kathy, the date-thing is as crazy as the difference between British and American English (to me, at least)!
Great your flowers really attract the beauties! Hugs back, and work, oh, well... it´s not bad! At all!

Your quick meal looks delicious. I would love that so keeping it in mind. Once it cools down I will get better at cooking as this summer I have really not done too too much of it. It’s hard to end a book you love, isn’t it? Hope your week is going well. Hugs Erika

It has been too hot here to turn on the stove so I have been eating salads with lots of tomatoes which are so tasty at this time of year. And lots of feta sprinkled on top.

Traude

Erika, yes, mostly salad now, too - SUMMER!
Yes, so sad to let Six-Thirty go!!! Hugs! Thank you for introducing me to that book, too.

RedPat, salad here, too, loads, instead of bread, too, yum!

I think I could handle some of that meal, if you haven't done so try scallops wrapped in bacon, they are just as decadent.

That looks fabulous! I would have eaten it cold but that looks even better!

Amy, I know... I do know they are healthy but all the seafood I can "tolerate" is tuna and white fish.... Sadly.
The genes from my Dad. My Mum loved seafood, as does my Brother.

____

Spare Parts and Pics, thank you and yes to both :-)

____

William, yes, brightens the day!

____

____

Jeanie, yes, cold is an option, too! But... hm, nah.Hm, or? If in a real hurry, that´s an option!

A simple and yet delicious treat. I have had this before served as an hors d'oeuvre and yes, I agree it makes for a great quick lunch or snak. I get hungry just thinking about it. Love your butterfly and hope you see a real butterfly ... it will make your day when you do. I like your concept "the art of friendship" because it is indeed an art and arn't we blessed to have so many friendly artists to share our lives with. Be well, Iris ...
