I didn´t follow this path, though but went to ESE, gave T my Lenovo and went to the conference room. Theme: Pack advent-calendars! Inter-active, too (insert mad laugh).

Step 1: Pack: The safety-envelopes were actually too small.
Because... they forgot the third dimension!!! Argh!
Imagine: Christmas music and three people more or less aggressively LOUDLY trying to jiggle those in.
Must´ve been a funny sight.
Step 2: One seals, the other puts on ESE-stickers (names/addresses were on), whilst the third still packs.
Mid-Step 3: Organize and put into cartons, wait for further info.
Drama step 4: Stamps. Finally self-printed, hard, very hard to get off.
8 hours!!!! Nearly 450 parcels! Some sad guy had to bring this to the post office.
November 27th - Advent-calendar. Christmas-season came as surprise again!
Fun was: took mine with me. Ingo had trouble to jiggle the stuff out!
Fun for another 400+ +3 people! Bet my two colleagues gave the task to their partners, too!
P.S. ... ESE is growing. Hope next November I´m at a customer!!!

In November! Can´t recall when that happened before! And they predicted a mild winter.
Oh, yes, why did I take pressies for the Nieces to work, you wonder?
There was an After work-event that had to be cancelled cause too less people wanted to join:
Take an empty shoe-carton, fill it with pressies up to €20 for a kid whose parents cannot afford Christmas-pressies.
I had pressies for the Nieces, but we never met and hence... for a good cause.
The team took care of the few of us who wanted to join.
Nice.

Some young kids will be happy with the gifts on Christmas, Iris.
I can't imagine packing 400+ boxes let alone taking them all to the post office. Good exercise.
I love that you could join with your colleagues to do the advent calendars. And it sounds really fun!

I mailed Advent calendars to the Young One and her Young Man. But forgot to buy one for the house and the Eldest! So I bought a small bag of chocolates and each night we each get one!

I remember leaving for work in the dark, and coming home in the dark. Stuffing calendars could be fun, or could be boring. Did you like doing it? Happy new week Iris. hugs-Erika
All the photos are lovely. Too sad that not enough people want to join in with shoeboxes for poor kids. Here in Australia, large shopping centres have a huge Christmas tree where people can put gifts for poor children. They have tags to attach to say whether the gift is for boy or girl and the age range, like 3-5 or 6-10 or 12-15 etc.

Did you have fun packing the calendars? It's a way of getting to know your colleagues. Could be quite a laugh.

What a shame so few people participated with the shoe boxes. We used to do them too when I lived in the UK. I actually went out to buy things, as our children were grown up and didn't live near.
