Call me old (-fashioned).
Saw a docu on how people date these days.
Especially men pay professional coaches and photographers, many don´t even do the chats themselves.
Sorry, in my eyes a big, fat lie right from the beginning.
What would I do?
I am a shy introvert. I´d loose out.
My T found his girlfriend through such an app, they live happily together since years.
But he is an honest, "simple" man and this was years ago.
My faith in these "services" nowadays is down the drain for good.
I cannot dance, I don´t enjoy places with many people. I hate loud places. I don´t have nor do I plan to get a pet. An animal is no cheap (....) substitute.
I prepare for being by myself.
Still better than checking out fake people.
I will not fake to please anybody.
I give my best...
So reckon. Just me, someday. Glad I don´t know what´ll be up. What does it mean to have a partner nearly 8 years older and chronically sick - I could drop dead of heart attack any minute.
Life has no guarantees.
Ingo has to grow like REALLY old! There is no other option! ;-)

Right, that's it. Same here and no other option. After 45 years, in our case, I don't think I could get used to a stranger in my house.
Yes.Just met W, my elderly neighbor. He feels lonely, his kids don´t visit... And I have trouble to make time as it´s never a "quick" visit... Must do better...

I didn't know how these dating apps have gotten so sophisticated. And not for the better-I doubt at least. I have a friend who met her husband through a dating app. He is a great guy and they are very happy. Yup, life has no guarantees as we usually learn the hard way, and so you just have to make the most of every moment. Have a super Sunday and start to the week Iris. hugs-Erika

Online dating seems to work, 2 couples in the extended family on both sides have successful marriages.

How long ago was this? The docu I saw was shocking, all fake-partners...
It makes it easier at least meeting blogger-friends in real life.
For love I am not sure. I would´ve thought it might be an idea - and this docu was extreme. I think a lot of gut-feeling is necessary...
I saw somewhere today is election day in Germany. How does it affect you?
My youngest sister met her husband in a newspaper ad back in the early 90s. She's still married to him.
Think that was honest back then!
I don't like dating apps, have never tried one and never will. I'm happy to live alone and anyway have my family, children and grandchildren and a great grandson who is two years already next month.
I am so glad I don't have to date!
Well, having no kids etc I think I would be pretty lonely. Sadly, and I know it is stupid, I cannot imagine a life without Ingo.
Maybe I step back from the "never again" and become like one of the "Golden Girls". Or... maybe not.
Sadly good concepts for aged living are pretty expensive here.
