Tuesday:🥰 ✨ 1:00 p.m. app at the neurologist. Again electric shocks. Done 3+ hours later. At least they said, you can go shopping inbetween, but really...
Tried another frozen "Aussie"-Pie: Beef Bacon Cheese. The filling was yummy, but this is really not a pie like I know it from Australia... Ingo gave up, so 1 pie > 2 lunches.

To all those who say Germany is so crap (Germans, mostly). HA! And from April 1st I get unemployment benefit on top! And a severance pay. And they even pay the train ride to/from Dortmund (and maybe the hotel) for the exam.
Contacted fL via LinkedIn. She got terminated, just like that. Gave her tips and hope for the best. She at least is still pretty young.

Weekend: Saturday: 🥰 ✨ Ingo was better, it likely was the tinned food from Thursday.
He bought chicken to make Djuvec rice - meat was super-expensive and I am picky so he asked me to cut it carefully and to the size I wanna eat it.
Did. He was not happy with that (I ALWAYS cut it like that for myself).
He expected "better" from me.
Other I tried to figure out what the training company actually wants - it is confusing!
Sunday: no more ✨... Ingo was still not really fit - consuming food is always a challenge for him.
And me? I can eat anything. The yummy dish sits on the balcony at -3C / 27F... brrrr.

I love the banana cat 💖 Sorry Ingo isn't well, tinned foods often have things like preservatives that don't always agree with people. and too bad if he doesn't like your bite size chicken, he told you to cut the way you want it, so he can't be complaining when you do just that. I like my meat cut bite size too.
I wear lots of layers in the evening before bed, but my bed is warm and I sleep "warm" (like Ingo), so I take off most layers before I get in the bed and sleep with just a thin long sleeve top and thin long pants.
I like all your journal pictures, some bright colours every day is nice to look at.
I've seen the banana cat before and I love it.
Sorry Ingo is ill. I'm fairly sure it's from the preservatives they use in tinned meat.
I sleep under a sheet and blanket. I have a little heater that warms me through the night. I also have two fur babies that keep me warm.

Yes, Ingo has to be so careful always with convenience food. But in this icky weather cooking is "hard to motivate yourself to"... I cut the meat a bit bigger so you don´t have to turn every tine bit, simply cut it o your plate, if too large... Aw, well - it was super-yummy. Nah. Really. -3C outside and cold here inside, too. 2nd Rexi and tiger in my lap. Thank you, color we need in the (here) icky, grey days!
Ingo is better already and yes, those darn preservatives! Lucky you with your fur babies! Well, we pay in enough so it is just right we get something back when we lose our job!
So many get "Bürgergeld" - never worked, get living, electricity, heating AND money. And - the dude next street for example - has enough money to smoke non-stop at the open window, grinning down on the people who rush to and fro work... oh enough - to a HAPPY T-Day!
That's a funny name for ale. Mind you I've seen wine having very weird names too. Winter is the time for hibernating and wearing warm clothes.

During the day in Winter, I wear flannel lined jeans or sweatpants, a tee shirt sometimes long sleeve, and a sherpa lined hoodie, along with super warm socks. At night? Die Bananenkatze ist ja supersüß. Gut, dass du Arbeitslosengeld bekommen wirst und es endlich auch mit dem Arbeitsamt geklappt hat. Na klar motzen hauptsächlich Deutsche über Deutschland, weil sie nicht wissen, wie es in anderen Ländern aussieht und wie gut sie es im Vergleich zu anderen Ländern haben. Natürlich kann man es immer besser haben und immer Grund zum jammern finden. Sind die Deutschen nicht Weltmeister im Jammern? Wir haben uns früher auch über einige Sachen in Deutschland beschwert, das Leben in USA hat uns gezeigt, wie wenig Grund wir dafür hatten. Oh well... Hoffentlich geht es Ingo bald besser, Essen aus der Dose ist einfach nicht so toll, aber manchmal unvermeidlich. Aber er hat keinen Grund zu meckern wie du das Fleisch geschnitten hast, wenn er es nicht selbst tut! Und hoffentlich stimmt es, dass sie dich in der Firma zurücknehmen - wäre das nicht wunderbar?
Ja, viele Deutsche wissen einfach nicht - und informieren sich auch nicht - wie es anderswo ist. Ich hoffe, ich gehöre nicht zu de Jammer-Welmeistern, aber ich bin ja auch nur zur Hälfte "deutsch" 😉.
es geht Ingo schon wieder. Er ist nunmal chronisch krank, da ist das Leben ein Eierlauf... Wenn ich das Zertitkat erlange habe ich eine Wiedereistellungsgarantie!

Ich bin auch sehr angetan von der Bananenkatze, liebe Iris - und von deinen Tagebuchseiten (selbst wenn ich längst nicht alles kapiere). Mag sein, dass die Deutschen die Weltmeister im Jammern sind, die Österreicher sind die Weltmeister im Raunzen. Kommt letztendlich aufs selbe raus... und wer ein bisserl in der Welt rumgekommen ist, weiß, dass es uns (ob nun in D oder in Ö) ausgesprochen gut geht. Noch immer. Wobei ich keine Prognosen abzugeben wage, wie lange noch...

Iris, I so love the way you think and describe your weeks. I really have missed it. My hubby is the same at night - hardly any clothes and really only uses a sheet while I am bundled up under all the covers, a weighted blanket and another at my feet.
I want to try the Welch Rabbit - I always thought it had rabbit.
I hope all works out with the training.
I also love that people are mixing together more in the world. I hope it continues as we are all cousins. Seriously.

I had to smile at your layers of clothes. I do the same in the evening. Sometimes as early as 6 pm. But I have a lovely duck down duvet so in bed I dress very lightly (Just PJs).
My late husband used to love Welsh Rarebit and often made it for himself.
