And yet... Ingo braved up and drove to Salzgitter for work every day - unlike many a colleague! I had to cross the street on foot. Pavement not better:

I used to say - I did not drive a car since 2018 - as long as on foot, I don´t care, but this was....
I had to hold on on poles and once on a parked car to not fall.

Here where i live still no snow or ice-fine with me as I would need to clear the steps and the hill up to the top. snow is always pretty though when it first comes down do they have plows to clear the roads? the first snow is usually pretty

I´m just glad it´s gone and cross my fingers you don´t get any. Here they only clear the main roads - often with salt which is bad for the cars.

The people don't believe in shoveling? What a mess! When we lived in Maine in the US, the city had small plows to take care of the sidewalks. Great service that was.
Wow! I thought our roads didn't get cleared well after storms. I can see why schools would be closed. Also, if you have a sidewalk in front of your house/apartment building, you or landlord is responsible for clearing the snow from the sidewalk. Otherwise fined! Ah, not to worry. In a couple of weeks, you'll be in warmth and sunshine. Oh, I didn't see the sloth, but I did see the butt and that made me laugh.
We always have snow and ice in January in the city (and February and pat of March). We have to shovel our walks within 24 hours if two inches or more. I don't like walking outside in the winter -- that ice is invisible! We got snow last night with some ice underneath. I was driving home early in it and it wasn't good; Rick said it got worse later. Waiting for spring!

Yes, snow is not nice, other in parks on grass where kids can sleigh down a hill. I´m glad Ingo made it through that!

No worries, the snow is gone.
We had our first major snowfall today. Everything shut down!
It annoys me that the roads get taken care of for the cars, but nobody cares about the poor pedestrian!
And here in sideroads not even that. Hope yous is gone soon again, too!
That's a LOT of snow and I do see the sloth on the balcony and the butt on the chair. It will be much warmer in Perth when you arrive.

Sorry I didn't get to this yesterday. I read your post and then the hubby got needy. Oh these back issues stink. You got a lot of snow. It looks cold.
