Back in the 1970´s a cousin of mine visited, Grandma took us to the small lake and there were white swans. Cousin tried to pet one - bad idea, she got bitten, wow, that was drama.
So... this one... I kept a distance. I had no food with me anyways and... don´t feed animals with "something".
Likely they eat it and suffer afterwards but don´t learn - I witnessed that in a National Park in Australia.
Soon I´ll see the black Swans again!

Not quite correct. Ingo was already in middle school when he decided to cut his off.
Result? Door flew open and a kid yelled: "There he sits!!!"

Long hair on men is still a thing here, although not like the 60s and 70s! I laugh when I see bald guys with a ponytail...it's like all their hair just slid to the back!
Swans are uncommon where I live, so it was pretty exciting in 20w4 when some trumpeter swans took up residence on our little lake for a few weeks. Swans and geese, yes, don't try to get friendly!
No snow here for almost 2 weeks, so sad. Maybe tomorrow though. I will hope!

No, I would not try to pet a swan. I would think they could have a mean bite. They are beautiful. I love the lion hugging the man.

Swans look so elegant but can definitely be nasty biters if you get too close! I love the confusion over the long hair; whether it was the men or women who loved it more back then, it makes for such a striking look. That lioness hug photo is just beautiful.
Yes, I always keep the distance to wildlife. Wish it was the other way round, too! I was touched by a wallaby and called Ingo for help and once a pelican chased me. Meep. I had no food!
I loved Rick's slightly longer Covid hair. I miss that. I do love swans but I've heard they can be pretty snappy. Same with geese. So I admire them from slightly afar!

I hope your weather improves. Here it is very cold but we don't get snow. We once kept two geese to sound the alarm in the hen coop if a fox came near.They can be very noisy and bad tempered, and I keep my distance from swans and geese. The photo of the Lioness hugging the man is adrable.

I have never liked long hair on guys. Now, here in the US guys are shaving their heads and I don't really like that either. LOL
Swans are so beautiful, but I have heard they can be vicious. Aww, the big kitty getting a cuddle.

Lovely film with Rigo and Toto. Some men in Australia still have long hair, older and younger men. There is one I see sometimes in the city with "dreadlocks" tied off his face and hanging right down past his hips. My oldest grandson also has long hair, very tight curls and he makes a "man bun" to keep it out of the way when he is working. And to look neat for his wedding a few years ago.

By Brother at age ... very young had a Grandpa-bald spot and luckily shaving was already OK. For some it´s good. Ingo has short hair, grey, but at least hair!

fK´s Son has long hair, too - and he is very tall at age 14 already. Those men buns... oh. I need to be more tolerant. They look like rubbish bags to me as I once saw a meme on that with them and it is stuck to my brain! Glad Ingo has short hair!
