How to proceed:
Make it through airport routine.
Go to Transperth. Tag on. - You have a "Smart Rider"-Card, right?
One train - fool-proofed!!!
Take the train to Perth Underground and switch through to Warwick (the second "w" is not pronounced).
Go upstairs, #450 moved to the end on the right.
Say, "hello!!!" to the driver and tag on.
When you see Kingsway Shopping Centre wait till the driver pulls over to the very right turny-lane, then click "stopping".
Tag off at the back and shout a loud "thank you!!" to the driver.
When out, proceed and look at the driver - he might smile and wave at you.
Then proceed to cabin 101.
Home.
Let the holiday begin!

The one main difference with South Australian public transport is you validate your card when getting ON, but no need to do it when getting OFF. that was a very fast six weeks for sure. Maybe one time you can stay longer.
You don´t tag off?! How does the system know how much you have to pay? Do you say "thank you" to the driver? 6 weeks is a lot already, usually you´re allowed 3 weeks only. When retired.... Rent or buy a cheap caravan and weeee....

Wir vermeiden Flüge. Wohin sollten wir auch fliegen? Es sind unsichere Zeiten. Das macht uns Sorgen.
Singapore Airlines ist wirklich sehr sicher und Perth is eine Reise wert! Oder Broome, Darwin... Ach, ich könnte endlos weitermachen!
Und am Flughafen wird man derart auseinandergepflückt.... Ich glaube auch das ist sicher. Wenn auch sehr unangenehm.
Aber man kann das ja heute auch Alles online, das Reisen!

It's always an adjustment coming home from a trip. At least for me. I always want to still be going, but it is good to be home and back to the routine. It just takes a bit to get there. And it is amazing how much you can live without on a trip. I hope you're soon adjusted to being home. And did you have snow too? hugs-Erika (If you did that makes me not feel so alone.)
I do say Thank You to the driver and many others do too. I'm not sure exactly how the tag on system works, each "tag on" is good for about two hours so if you stay on the bus that length of time you only have the one charge. Different cards have different costs, student cards are charged less than adults, but students need to carry their student concession card also in case an inspector gets on the bus and checks all cards, pensioner cards are also cheaper, and need to be carrying their concession card too, Seniors like me travel free but we still have to tag on, that's how the system knows how many passengers use the buses and trains on any day and can calculate whether they need more or fewer buses.
I understand that, you know, that feeling of gratitude and at the same time the sad feeling

But it´s like with the money.
When the EU started making "their" money, instead of looking at Australia, nooooo... "we" make our own and boom - illegal copies in no time. Yours is safe, here they had to pump in money to make it a bit safer then!
"Bahncard" or the one for bus - two different ones! - ... you pay for a whole year, use it or loose it.
When we came back to Perth after the Covid-break - no worries, Smart Rider still worked, no money lost! And it goes for bus, train and ferry. Did I mention "clever"? We are not! Maybe in 20 years...
