Still Home
Well, this sure isn´t my home (sadly?).
But this is one of my fav pics of my "second home", as H called it.
Old and new buildings mingle, the palm, awww - and the car with the construction site mirrored to the right saying - we grow! We change!
I admit - that was by chance, I´m no professional photographer, nor do I have an eye for this - but... cool, huh? By chance!
I grow, too.
The bone in my foot is nearly done - and my body due to no activity whatsoever...
Signed sick one more week with the prospect of a swollen, hurting foot for quite a while. Like... months, eventually, a year.
I took off via taxi at 10:15 (the earliest possible, they do surgery till 11)) and was home again by 01:20.
That makes three hours - the drive to the doc is a 5-minute-ride - for an x-ray and 5 minutes (yeah, 2 minutes longer than the usual cause I had a question) - taking three whopping hours.
Where else but in a doctor´s office is that possible?
The woman next - and very close - to the left scratching her skin all the time, eeeek. Yikes.
Later in the day, my friend - and "boss" from my customer´s side called.
She won´t make it for a visit after all tonight.
She said she´d e-mailed me more than once - nothing arrived. And she managed to call me after over 4 weeks - that was last week, I have to add.
Dunno. My understanding of friendship might be another. I´m disappointed in the structure itself. Seems like she is angry, kinda, I let her down. Which I didn´t. Ok, there is no one to do my job and that is bad - but that is not my fault! I´m sad and disappointed.
From Thursday on I´m supposed to let slowly get off the splint.
Tuesday try to drive to work again. Will try on Monday to work it out.
Seesh.
I certainly don´t have an automatic, but a manual, which means I have to use the clutch - a lot - it´s the left foot, that is broken. It´s 37 km one way, mostly via rural road/village. Will I manage?
Ingo´s concern: I end up in an accident due to that: Not being able to use the clutches - who is responsible?
Well. Me. The doc?
One more week at home.
I don´t sleep in, I get up at 06:20 the latest.
Next week 04:40 again, so yes, I do sleep in.
Let´s hope I don´t dream of that icky woman from today. Hours. Gah.

Super shot of Perth Iris, looks good huh! Sorry your friend let you down, maybe she had a really good reason. Hope your foot is up to getting you to work alright, take it carefully when you get in that car.
Thank you, Grace, I´ll print it out when I find a special frame :-)
Aww, well, a good reason for 6 weeks?
Yes, I´ll be super-careful...
