(We Have To) Take Care Of The Chick

Yes, I know, those are mature chicken, no chicks. Niece loves them.

Dunno about other places but here a chick is also called someone like this little girl aka my Niece, "Küken":

We had the first company meeting of the year today.
My boss, whom I meet on these occasions and the yearly personal meetup actually only, came over to me and said with a grin instead of a hello... see title.

By golly, mind you, I am no chick by any means here!
I am one of those last ones he offered the casual form of address, the "du". Even my teamleader has to adress him with "Sie" and "Mr R" - I have a very clear idea of the why boss had to get to this, too :-( Sooo sad for good guys like my teamlréader
Sad how one person can destroy the.. "being togetherness" for the future...
Well and by age... chick... oh, please just shut up ;-)

It was weird. We´re a rather small company, around 50 peeps, around 30 turned up, and somehow nearly everyone knew about my foot and came over to give advise, to help, to comfort me. People who don´t talk to me otherwise took their time.
Are IT-guys empaths after all?

To remember what a great boss I got. He took his time for me - and even offered to carry me downstairs - with the help of a colleague :-)
Have to add job-wise it´s not running good for me after the change of systems - let´s see what´ll come next, I´m kinda worried (heaps).

My "fav" colleague? "Awww." There must´ve been a fight in (his) paradise. A loose-loose arvo for him.
Sorry, but: Hehe.
Will get another hehe on Monday from my real fav colleague who couldn´t join for that.
Don´t get me wrong - I don´t do that, usually. But at some point ... you can overdo it with me, too!

When I came home - I even found a place to park in this quarter!! - I was surprised by this peacock:

Tomorrow it´s off to Bro and family to handle over the "butterfly" and get our wedding rings done.
Hopefully - I forgot to order due to the company meeting - with a Ten Without Ham!
