This brolly is beautiful, no? This is where Henry The Lion lives!
I didn´t buy it (yet/this time... awww, it´s 20 bucks and we hardly go out when it rains, so... it´s for one person only, too - we have a two-peeps-brolly, maybe this pic´ll do after all, you don´t have to have everything, right?).
Today we sure didn´t need a brolly!
Weird weather we got over here - grey, cold, rainy the last days - today the predicted 20C, sunny! Out of the blue, so to say!
Everybody was out and about!
Is it a German phenomenon? Thursdays the city is always packed, today... even more.
Forcast for tomorrow and the days following: Grey, cold, rainy.
Certainly we took off to the city - still slowly, this dang foot still hurts!
Here...
... we kinda got married for free - this is the town hall and we simply showed them our document with both, German and Australian postille and they set our status to married, just like that - what a huge surprise!
Walking along we saw this:
The good ole Deutsche Mark, our stable German currency from back then, worth now 50 cents ... you can buy it for 10 euro.
How weird is that.
But the biggest surprise was yet to come!
When it comes to a dinner on the go - like a pie, like a yummy pizza from the guy at the Carillon City or such - you´re lost over here - I sadly kid you not!
It´s not even worth listing the possibilities.
So, in the end I said to Ingo: OK. Maccas.
Ya know? Nordsee (uups, do I start listing?) - "North Sea"... they got fish, fish-burgers and all also as take-away. The buns are from 05:00 a.m., always, it seems. Eeek.
Chinese? Used to be yum! Having the traditional stuff just like they have at the Gilmore Girls, the look, the chopsticks ... tastes like paper now.
The rest cheap or with tons of mayonnaise, bleh.
A wrap, I wanted a wrap. At Maccas.
Usually full to the brim, not entitled to wear the name "fast food".
I - or we rather - were second in line!
I ordered and the - for a huge surprise friendly guy asked: Which one?
It´s a small shop, I couldn´t see the offer and asked back, what do you have?
And... To.My.Biggest... Very.Biggest.... ok, so to my surprise he explained:
insert drums here..
"Small, Medium or Large."
Small???
Aren´t we going for XXL and triple XL and more all the time?!
This is just right!!!
Gotta give a feedback, Ingo - see pic - was in disbelieve, too and said, awww, it´ll be gone in a few weeks, no one wants this.
And maybe he´s right, they had the product ready in no time... no one else wanted it...
The Maccas-guy even looked me in the eye, ... top it: smiled at me!... and: Wished me a nice day!
Felt like Alice in Wonderland!
They call it:
"Snack" - mind you - it was just right!
A welcoming surprise.
Chicken, tomato, salad in a wrap of a back in the 70´s "normal" size, I´d say!
Well done, Maccas (as you call it, we say Mc Doof aka "Mc Stupid")!
Nearly home we spotted this trolley...
As you maybe know you have to insert a one euro coin to get it (and can remove it easily, but no one "knows") - the sign:
... says: "I called the shop - they wanna come get it! Jörg"
Huh? Is that funny? No idea! An excuse? "that shop", real;-, is some 500 m away.
In front of the house we met a neighbor.
She´s in her 70´s, looks young but neveer wears her second teeth, hence speaks with her hand covering her mouth.
If we really don´t wanny marry?
Long story short - she topped us- heaps!
Got married at age 18, they lived together for 25 years, had two kids.
Inbetween...
OMG.
25... Twenty-Five! years of weekend relationship!!
