Fighting To Get To Work

People are fighting to get to work these days.
Some for more money, like the German Train Drivers' Union, some, hence, to get to work with the few trains that still run, with buses or by car.

I drive that early I realise only a little difference in more traffic, but colleagues planning to start at 09:00 am sure do feel the difference.

Don´t worry, I just put the cam into the direction and click blindly whilst looking on the street and I do this only when there is no traffic around me and I can go slow. I consider this safer than putting out a cigarette butt or worse and I see worse a lot.

Beautiful, no?

I get the point, the difference between poor and rich grows insanely bigger, it´s a "joke" what politicians "earn" and what those train drivers get. For really working.

Yet... a whole week no transportation of people or goods causes big economical damage.
(##, who claims he has a car was 5 hours late today, taking a train - five hours!)

I have to sneak in another (in my eyes) beautiful pic:

From today on Kindergartens are closed as well.
Yes, you have to fight, but, by golly, what are parents in cities supposed to do?

In the village you likely have your parents nearby who can take over, or other relatives, but in the cities?
Stay home, care for your kid(s) and loose your job after a while?

The trains will stand still for a week - the kindergartens? Who knows, they announced it is "indefinite".

Yes, I know, why do I bother, I have a car (drive early) and have no kids.

Yet... we´re living in weird times, or do we?

When I came home from grocery shopping I found this on the steps:

"When Freedom Began"

Yes, 70 years ago Germany was freed.
I do see it like that.
"We" did not loose a war, "we" were finally freed, nice to see that title.

There will be exhibitions, especially on the kids who grew up in the mess, like my parents.

Dunno if I want to see it?
I saw what it made to especially my Mum...

I still fail to understand how such an Austrian guy could do this...

Instead I am lucky I have the luxury to try out a new Deliscious Salanova

Looks yummy, no?

I was surprised to find it with roots again, unlike the last one!

Greek feta it is for 3 days - mozzarella is more yummy, though. Let me bore you with one more pic - oh how I love the salad-season!

Am I thankful I can live without war, if not without fight...

If you care about the salad-thingy, please read the comment to this post - thanks Grace, I am a happy salad now.

Beautiful sunrise pictures Iris.
I agree that you need to fight for your rights, but I think at the same time strikes also bring a loss of revenue to the country and are inconvenient to all!
Just last week I watched a Tv program entitled "The super rich and us" and it looks like since the economic collapse of 2008, the richer are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer, and if this carries on this way, there will be no middle class - just the rich and the poor.
Very sad situation!

Thank you :-)
Yes, it´s frightening without a middle class. Many things go wrong in this world... and how quickly can something bad happen.

So happy to see you're getting over the 'salad' incident Iris :) Summer and salad go together for sure. I enjoyed your trip to work with you, lovely to see the sun come up. Hope things get back to normal with trains real soon.

Thank you, Grace - it sure was some incident ;-)
Yes, spring and summer are the best.
I´m not personally affected by the strikes, but also hope they find a solution soon...
