Took a different route to the city yesterday and entered via Altstadtmarkt and it really was market day.
Yes. I went to the city on a Saturday. Even at around lunch-time the city was packed already.
There was no space to step backwards to take a proper pic of this:
The scene on Kohlmarkt reminded me of Perth a bit :-)
A woman was selling gas-filled balloons like on a fun fair:
Perth, btw, I went to Woolworth, yes, without the "s", not fresh and since 1897...
Right behind I again wondered, why this statue is behind "bars"...:

When I lived in South Africa we had Woolworths, but they sold clothing and they just had a tiny area of gourmet food.

I like the chairs that invite people to relax in the city.
You won´t find gourmet food in this one - it´s all cheap stuff, but sometimes you find something nice, pics are to come some time.

It's good to go into the city at the weekend now and then Iris, I do often, it's a different vibe at the weekend don't you think, people are more relaxed. So you have a Woolworth, minus the s :) also, wonder if its the same corporation?

It´s way smaller, I won´t say we have a vibe here...
It´s not the same, our Woolworth (it hurts to type without the s, kinda!) is a cheap chain with toys and clothes rather.
Actually you don´t want to be seen shopping there!
