Perth, 03/10 – Bye-Bye, Not Italian And Thyme
One sad looking Ingo... All packed up I think I can show those who didn´t/couldn´t visit us in the cabin what it looks like, our "luxury-home". After all you showed us yours as well. :-)
The table is a tad small, but worked even for 5 people eating! At the same time, too ;-)
The microwave oven to the right behind Ingo was accessible only via chair for me - or via others, but well, mostly we had take-away (or stupid, bad salad, ewww).
The bunk beds, now free of the stuff we took home:
Dito for the icky sofa in the middle - really, I would not sit down on that filthy thing!
It was filthy 2013 and certainly has not improved...
One more very important utensil : Air-con... working air-con!
No more sitting outside in front with a bucket of cold water to sprinkle over you... (2006)
The bedroom with still the "overpainted hole", aw, well...
Own bathroom, so much worth! No Elvis Presley-music when being there, oh did I dislike the music - and especially the company/unprivacy - in the "public" washroom/toilets...
Heaps of storage room, no?
Also here, opposite the bed, (way too much) storage, storage, storage!
One other thing I really disliked were the sliding doors - the idea itself is great - but you have to be sooo careful! And despite being that we both held them in our hands here and there...
Before we were packed up, naturally, we had to show Grace and Pat the total chaos, still sorry about that! ;-)
But let´s rewind a bit: Grace and Pat came over to take us to the Waldecks-nursery for a good-bye-coffee/latte - and for a pressie, too, thank you so much again, will plant the Gallipoli Poppy seeds soon when the weather is steady!
That will also be when we´ll buy quality breadrolls, have a brunch on the balcony with the Onion & Thyme marmalade, Sami.
I still have to laugh about the thyme-"incident, Grace! LOL!It all comes together, no?
The Koala... turned out cute already, sadly moved to the kitchen, though, he did not like too much sun!
On the way back Grace asked if we chose the seats in the plane - whoa! I had totally forgotten about this option! Sad that we went to a human being for booking the flights and were not informed about this possibility. But, well, that person also forgot to add the visa for Australia.
Anyhows, so Pat tried to do it for us, but via phone it was too difficult - bad service from the airline... But thanks for trying - and especially for reminding me!!! Because... it all helped and turned out well!
After having said good-bye for this time we got done packing and got picked up by H and L - extra early cause there was an accident on the highway.
Naughty Auntie (me) clapped loud so L could have a few more chips whilst H told Ingo, oh, look, an airplane!
Yes, a rare sight on the way to the airport - we had fun :-)
We met B, who works at the airport and I asked him to help us pick the seats on the plane.
Dunno... B and Ingo have it with some, Ingo with Italians and B with... Germans!
Remember, B accompanied us into the caravan park´s office for in case there are problems due to the new management - and the lady spoke German.
Guess the language the dude at the airport spoke!
I kid you not, I guess I had my mouth flipped open!
We had a last water together and then had to say good-bye. I reckon L does not read here, so I can say it was really cute how he sneaked up to me, cuddled and said, "I´ll miss you....".
I could cheer him up, though, by saying, "next time we meet you´ll be taller than me". He was all "yayyy, taller", jumping around. If it always was this easy to cheer someone up...
We had great seats on both flights, especially the first one - empty!
In Frankfurt we had free WiFI - yes, Germany slowly gets there!
Sadly no free drinking water, so I could not try H´s chips!
We hopped on a Maus-plane...
...and in Hannover the Service totally ended.
A guy from China wanted to know from the staff how many stops it is to the main train station.
"Zwei." (two)
"Five?"
"Zwei!!!!"
Not even basic English, how sad is that...
We told him when to get off and sure as quirky as it can get he was on the way to Braunschweig and very likely had visited my old place, too.
When I was into flat-sharing most Chinese came to us cause my flat-"mate" speaks Chinese and often flies there, too (those times were bliss).
I had to learn the hard way that Chinese consider all rooms and all stuff belonging to all, too...
And when breaking something, aw, well, just go away...
Well, what can I say.
This was my very last Perth-post.
Nah! There are still so many beautiful pics Ingo took that likely I will post some here, too.
Thank you all, you made the time very special for us and... I know, when visiting too often you´re like fish and stink.
So... next time will be in a while - I don´t wanna stink, right (is that a German saying, btw?)...

I looked this up - Fish and guests stink after 3 days - don't think I had heard that one before!
Lucky you had empty seats on your first flight at least, so good to be able to stretch your legs.
Oh well last post, a sad moment for you I'm sure, holidays over.
Yes, it´s a tad sad...
And now I have no more excuses to not start working out anymore. Shoot!
