Perth Mint In Braunschweig

We went to the city yesterday via Inselwall, as usual.

Ingo´s Bro is a doc and wants to see Ingo on a regular basis to put him through his MRI.
I am very thankful for that, yet it scares me off.
He lives in Emden, some 300 km away.

I "forced" Ingo to bring some pressies along next time - after all his Bro loves cooking and has four kids.
(And, my, what would you have to pay for it at a regular doc?!)

So right at the Braunschweig Dom there is a shop that could do the job.

Could... way too expensive, but what did we see? A greeting from Perth Mint!

Totally overprized, though (and not what we were looking for anyways).

So on to the tourist info we went.

I so wanted to bring a honeycomb like this from Okerbienen to Perth, but, alas, it would never have made it in one piece.

Their motto: Braunschweig - a city that tastes good..

They certainly have honey in glasses, too. I bought one, but when we came home I had honey in my bag, so... sorry.
I also asked Australian duty, I could´ve brought it along, but... yikes. Bag... right?

Ingo ended up with a whole box for his Bro´s family, including a book full of Mumme-recipes:

Good enough for a "neighbour" at Schadt´s to chat with us.
Braunschweig. It´s a village after all. That mate had the book as a pressie for his Dad :-)
