Winter came early and "mean" this year, at least for those, like us, who have the unheated cellar beneath.
It´s cold.
Usually I let my hair dry just like that but now it´s too cold for that.
I need the cheapy-hairdryer.
I informed Ingo, so he would not wonder.
I said "hairdryer" - "Haartrockner".
Just the other day ALDI sold those, too, read "Haartrockner" - a rather long word.
Ingo joked I say that cause I don´t know how to write "the other word" correctly and hence got used to the long version - and he´s right, just like ALDI I don´t know, is it

Do you fight with spelling reforms, too?
In German you write "Tipp", not as former "Tip" (same meaning as in English - "hint").
And "Schifffahrt" (shipping) with three f! You could write "Schiff-Fahrt" but then you are a weirdo.
Just to make up.

And.. wasn´t the cold. We have very, very soft water and I used a tad too much shampoo - lesson learned!
Takes longer to dry due to the cold in fact, though.

I hardly ever dry my hair, unless I wash it before going to bed.
Lupe in Portuguese is Lupa.
Some German words are so long and difficult because they are all joined.
Have a nice weekend and keep warm, I can imagine you are at a disadvantage with the cellar below you.

Agreed, somethimes I think they make those long words on purpose to confuse not-mother-tongues...
Well, we knew what we bought - still I do complain about the cold!
We have to complain about something Iris, you the cold.. me the heat, it's human nature to complain 😀 I've decided to be au natural now, I've given up trying to always straighten my curly hair, embracing it instead, much easier and no hairdryer required!
I wish I had nothing to complain about, Grace ;-)
Though... have I mentioned my hair is thin and boring? I so wish I had curly hair, lucky you!
