I tried to cook (oh?! Yipee?!) and it went wrong (no surprise!) but I had those noodles still (I prefer to make too much just for in case).
Oil in the pan (yes, oil, as it was for me only).
Let them suffer in the heat until they turn brown, or... golden. Crispy.
Meanwhile.
Take an egg. I take those that are a tad more expensive but the producers promise to not shredder (shredder!!!!) male chicks - they don´t say, though, what they do with them?
Are there male chick circusses or such and what do these do?
Are there little pianos, maybe, trampolines, what do grown chicken do??? (City-person here, Henry could not tell me, either, City-Lion...).
A "Spitzbube" actually is someone who makes bad jokes/pranks, hence "Spitz & Bube".
This means the "Spitze" aka beak of the chicks are NOT cut down & a "Bube" is a male.
Anyways. Add Harissa to the egg. And if you just failed making goulash you will have red wine. Add that. Looks icky, but, "brave up"! I did (It DID look icky, brrr). Some dried oregano.
Mix.
Meanwhile you certainly have added some of those lille pieces of dry bacon, right, crumbles along with the noodles.
When both are wrinkly like you do not wanna be add the egg-mixture and whilst those two start a happy dance grate some good-quality parmesan éeeeeeet voilà:

Mr. H... W!! ... told me his family, post and in WWII was that poor sometimes all they got - from the nice grocer who felt with them - the heads of fishes.
He knows what "hunger" is.
I do not.
But I was brought up with the thought of never ever wasting food.
And it´s so easy and sometimes even yummy to not do, right?
Especially when you prefer to drink beer over wine!

I cut out the crossword-thingy and even managed to find some answers, cut out the couple of an ad for tampons (the 70´s! Three different sizes, that was totally new (in Germany)), the tampons and the brand, I think it´s still on the market even.

I've never had fried noodles except in a Chinese restaurant. I don't get the idea of the eggs, though. To me, eggs are eggs. I go for cheap. Just me, but price is what drives my food purchases.
You're right. The food looks weird, but if it tastes good, that is almost as important.
I'm not going to touch that comment about the tampons. I use the ones that require some assembly (grin).
I have to admit, Sauerkraut juice is the most unusual drink we've had here for a LONG time. Thanks for sharing your food choices and your kraut juice with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.

I used to go for cheap eggs, too, and I do not believe I make a difference even, buying the "better raised" ones. Or maybe I do. It´s not that much more money and for now I still can afford it.

Eggs are really an ethical dilemma: are the chickens really kept in tiny cages, beaks clipped, and under terribly cruel conditions? I buy the ones that are at least a bit more humanely raised, but I can't really tell if it's ideal. I have never seen any discussion of what happens to the male chicks.

Erika, I´m not sure, either about it. I do think we should be aware of where our food comes from, though. But everybody has to decide individually.

As a kid I had those cheapy skates Tom mentioned - tried these but once but my heart is ... can´t give them away.
Had a skate board, bike... "risky life", no "protection" back then!
Summer, well, I´d rather be drunk and believe that, too cold! 21C is not that bad, but not summer - how in your place?

Your meal looks and sounds yummy! Bacon on anything for me is a winner. I am not a huge fan of eggs as I have to be in the mood to eat them. But I love to bake and eggs are in most baked goods. I really want to get chickens eventually.

As long as it has bacon in it, it's good! The 70s art and comments made me smile and even laugh a little. I used to go to a roller rink with friends, but never had a cute guy catch me when I fell. Iris, do you cook following recipes or just put stuff together? There are very few dishes I can make without a recipe to follow. Chris just throws stuff together and makes some fabulous dishes that he can never make again. lol.

Oh Iris I would definitely LOVE that dish with tons of Parmesan! I love Parmesan Cheese on everything! Pasta, bread, menudo, mechado, afritada, it's just perfect to anything! But that Sauerkraut juice is very very different to my imagination. I guess it's used for cooking?

I agree your pasta meal does not look very appetizing, but if it tasted nice, then that's OK. And you didn't waste any food.

No that is an interesting precept. What do they do with male chicks? I had never thought about that. I buy my eggs locally from people that have chickens. Most shops in the village (even the non-food shops) will have eggs if you ask but I have to bring my own box or carry them home carefully in a bag. I will go into a shop to buy cleaning products and at the till I ask if they have eggs. Sometimes they have, sometimes not. And the baker sometimes has eggs too.

That does look icky and for sure I won't try it. I only have left over noodles if I have spaghetti for dinner, then there is usually left over spaghetti sauce too, so I mix them together, and store in the fridge then fry it up for lunch the next day. Spoon it into the hot frying pan, spread it just a little so it is like a big hamburger patty, then let it cook until the bottom is crispy, turn it over and cook to crispy again then eat. Yummy.
I buy the expensive free range eggs, because they taste so much nicer, the taste is the same as when my daughter brings fresh eggs from her chickens. She only has three chickens so I don't get eggs from her very often.
