Boy, we chatted like... forever. It´s sad - when he wants to see his wife in the nursing home he has to call first and is only allowed to go up to her once a week.
Some people really loose it, being in charge, misusing their power.
My story was a lot lighter yet also not funny.
In a shoe store I passed by - from the outside - I saw a sign: "Each pair 39,99€" and one winter-pair I liked. Took forever to un-knot the stuff etc, they fit, felt comphy at the cash-out: "That´s 45,99€".
"It says differently on the sign!" - "45,99!" - "Then I don´t want them!" - "Pffft, OK."
Yes, "only" 5€, but... hello?!

Our shit#y REWE (grocery store)... Ingo had an eye on the monitor and... "somehow" the cash-out-woman got a €5-product twice on it. When Ingo said that it´s not correct, she checked in a way you might think, oh? She tries to keep us calm here!
You have to look so closely these days, this happened to me, too.

I have had it happen to me as well, when a shop tries to charge more than the advertised price. The other thing I hate is when they don't have any price on an item at all. On the other hand, occasionally I have bought something only to discover when paying that it was on special and not as expensive as I thought! You certainly have to stay awake when shopping :)

I enjoyed the sundial and the formula. That is something I could do. I loved math. I was discouraged to like it, though, because I was a girl.
I always check the prices. I often get to the parking lot and check the prices. If there's a mistake, I return the item and they give me my money back. One time they returned my money AND let me keep the product when I was charged for something I didn't have in my basket.

You do have to be careful and check out the prices. I've noticed that before too. I'm sure it happens someone doesn't change the signs but if that happens they should give you the sign price. I would have walked too.
They have the same appointment visits here for nursing homes due to covid.
Here in Perth they let family visit the Nursing homes as long as they have had a flu vaccine. I suppose that is because there's been no community transmission for about 150 days, otherwise I don't see why the flu vaccine would make a difference as it's different to Covid.
I agree with you leaving the shoes behind, it's the principle, and they should have honoured the price on the sign, specially in these times when business is down due to the virus. Not very nice if the cashier at Rewe is trying to charge more than she should, it certainly breaks your trust with the shop.

One reason why I hated buying stuff when I went to California to be honest HAHA Because it's hard to compute for the added tax at the checkout (that's for me who got used to seeing the final price on the tags)
