I know, usually Sunday is saved for "my" family.
But, as we are married, isn´t Ingo family, also?
I decide, this counts. So let me show you our summer.
It was two days ago, Friday!
I have a little rebel here. His name is Ingo.
Just in case you wonder - we had Aussie friends who struggled with the name...
Unlike mine his is pronounced like the Dingo, the wild Australian dog, just without the "D".
Or Bingo, without the "B"... Easy-peasy.
We are the only ones in this house with a balcony. Especially our neighbor M is so jealous he hates us.
Really. He went all around the house to see if we have satellite-TV and wanted us to turn it down, neighbor C let me know!!! (we own this condo, all other owners voted we can have the mini-dish). M is too close so cannot have a balcony and too blocked by houses for satellite.
Ingo put up three brollies, just to show off 🤣🤣
Haha, M, just see! (He has two condos, so sees us from kitchen and bedroom - you´re welcome, M. (his wife does not even greet me anymore)).
Proper professional "blinds" are not allowed and in case we fought and won too expensive.
Spent my time watching the BBQ, sketching.
This is tomatoes from ALDI for 85 cents ( instead of Barilla sauce for €2,68 that I could never use up).
Ingo said he wants to frame it and hang it in his work-place, LOL!!!

Ingo had steak and me... hmmmm...
The layer is fresh mushrooms. Then mini-tomatoes, pepper, olives, ham and cheese, oh, heaven! Don´t forget pepper and salt.
I love steak, too, but then from a real chef (@Ingo... Block House again?)
Later: Cuban music (not too loud), Cuban rum (a wee bit), a Cuban cigar (Ingo only) and ...

This Saturday I braved up BIG!

YET!!!! As Ingo didn´t want to I got the ladder.. boy.... I managed step-ladder four and that was that, but it was enough:

I put the blue wood clock on uneven nails Ingo´d provided using bits of newspaper and the fake 70´s clock now is visi- and hearable there as well.

Maybe Ingo was right (again) MAKING me brave up. Yes. One cm too wide the gap from 1. to 2. but I used hot glue and will not rip that off (afraid of heat - braved up #II).

...pronouncing INGO seems rather easy to me. Having close neighbors wouldn't be for me. These umbrellas would be, though. I have plenty of green tomatoes in the garden, I hope they will rippen soon. Thankfully cigars aren't a part of my summer. It will be 73 F here today, that's a bit cooler than yesterday. You sure love red. Be well!

Oh your room looks great Iris. Those poppies on the wall look amazing. You must be happy that it was worth the climb. And it sounds like you had a nice evening on your patio too. I saw a few bats on Friday night. Here there is a disease that makes bats fly out in the winter, and they aren't protected and they die. That means there are very few bats left in my area, and seeing them is exciting. Do you know bats live LONG lives and do not age like other animals and us? I decided to watch a show on TV about bats the other night after seeing a couple. Check them out, they are amazing animals. Have a super rest of your weekend. hugs-Erika

My tomatoes are starting to ripen at the same time so we have them as part of every meal. They are so tasty.
Tomatoes are the best when home grown nice and fresh. Nice drawing of the Aldi one.
I'm confused. If I want and will pay for professional blinds, why would you stop me? I guess that is why I would never rent. I need to be the master of my universe.

I found a bat at my office at Volkswagen - we maneged to get her/him free. One was caugh in Ingo´s sink and he hung her/him on the feet in the garden - next day the tree was empty :-)

I love the poppies pictures and the bright umbrellas. Your tomato drawing is excellent. I have no trouble with Ingo's name, I knew right away it was like dingo. Mmm, barbecue. I love the smell of things cooking that way.

Yes, maybe I can put up one umbrella later - it may (...) warm up! And yes to coal BBQ - so sad most of "you" have electric ones. Which is crazy. When we were traveling the Outback of your beautiful country we always had a real "wood"-BBQ.
Ingo will remember the name of the NP - the ranger even brought us wood for that purpose!
Be careful and all is well, right?
I hate the taste of electric BBQs. You can simply use a pan on the stove, too.
