Monday: Real slow day at work and ohhh, boy. Met new colleagues. One is from Poland, the other has a Muslim-name and you really have to concentrate to understand them.
Both are very nice, of course, but especially the Polish colleague talks real fast on top!
Went to the doc, that counts as sport.
So windy and cold you could think it´s October already.
Tuesday: New project and no idea how to approach it. Horrible. Feel like a loser, loads of pressure.
Was at ALSTOM for over a year, am "the new one" at "my" company ESE - how can they expect... tough, wish me luck and BRAIN.
Later Dialogue with one of the bosses 3-6 p.m. on AI in railway.
Expected more. We were only a group of 20 peeps. Sad - this is important.
Only two sessions hence.
Wednesday: Dreamed something weird and creative and then stepped upon Tom´s with a post on creativity.
Maybe I find a solution for the huge project this way...?
Re-structuring the Intranet-page of ESE. They hope to see results come November. So they know it´s big.
Handbook-chaos-team with fun, nearly done.
Ingo shortened the "wedding"-dress for me - perfect. It´s "t-shirt"-fabric, so I didn´t dare.
Now summer-Gurri is waiting for it, too!
Ingo learned sewing as a child. Doc and city - ´nough sport.
Heavy rain afterwards.
Thursday: Handbook-chaos-team with fun. Boy, it was exhausting.
The round, yellow thing is out from time to time. But 18C / 64F is.not.summer.
Exhausted, no training.
Friday: One traffic jam, other Ingo did a great job and we were certainly WAYYYY too early to the wedding.
BIL was super-nervous. Can someone explain this to me?
The speeches were too long and it was way too cold. I recognized none of my old school-mates, none! All but "old men", LOL (now what makes that of me ;-)...)
New SIL ran around in a summer dress (well it should be summer) and repeated she is so nervous she is feeling hot.
Again... why???
Back in the day when you hardly knew one another I would understand but in these times?
Ingo was wearing his wedding-suit and the sun peeked out.
Saw a dragonfly whilst wedding was on!!!!!
No pic as we were asked not to.
There was a professional photographer who had gigantic gear.
Tissue for the tears of joy - Bride had the tears, not the tissue!!!
(Ingo and I had to sit front row and saw it all).
The paper-fan was not needed, I froze my butt off.
Bottle opener not needed. One toilet - I took to white wine.
Nice ideas, though.
Weekend: Saturday: Huge accident on the way home - in the other direction.
Ingo is a very good, calm driver. "Brekkie" was KFC at lunch-time and ow. When they started here in Germany a couple of years ago the food was freshly made for you. Crispy, yummy.
Now you order via touchscreen, get the food in seconds - wobbly cause old. Won´t go there again.
No rain, sun is partially out, still too cold.
Sunday: We slept in. This stress on the Autobahn is just enormous, also for me.
I tried to read (first on owls, on the way back (no brekkie) on Sandwiches and then Pizza), but seeing how weird traffic is... I got distracted too often.

Your description of the wedding, including bad traffic, doesn’t sound nice at all. How sad that is. We have frequently had experiences of restaurants that were good at first and then started to make everything cheap and bad, but never had that experience with a chain. However, we haven’t gone to KFC in decades! Never liked it much.

Mae, yes, Autobahn is a horror as often you can go as fast as you like. And living in Volkswagen area many can afford very fast cars.
KFC Perth/Australia was as bad. Even Chicken Treat went down the drain. And I love chicken... Sad when this happens!
Crazy, too - keep people coming anyways? We do not...
I love cauliflowers, they are also healthy.
In my opinion the weddings are rarely fun: we must wear uncomfortable clothes, we have to spend a lot of time in the church listening boring speeches and after ... we eat a lot.
The cauliflower came along rather unhealthy (but yummy).
Wedding luckily without church but boring anyways.
Not even the food was yummy (at least hence I didn´t eat much ;-)...)
...we haven't been to a wedding in ages. Last year we were invited to a grand niece's wedding in the Dominican Republic we didn't go.
That's a great suit Ingo has. What did you wear? I get the nerves. It is a big commitment, and once you make it, it's easier to live with. That the moment you make it. Glad you had fun, and those drawings in journal are fun. As always. I hope you're having a nice week and T day. hugs-Erika

Oo, Ingo scrubs up well. What about you? I'd like to see you too in your wedding finery. Yes, most weddings are boring, unless you know a lot of people and then it can be fun catching up. Shame it was so cold. Cute presents, but you didn't need any of it.
Autobahn? Horrendous! I bought a map of Northern Germany on purpose so that we could avoid the autobahn on the way back when we were last in Germany. But recently in June as we traveled through Germany it wasn't a problem. (but it wasn't Friday).
That sounds like a tough project. Have the others not got a clue either?

Lisca, I admit I never saw anything of the Minions... my summer-dress wasn´t exactly fine - and half hidden from the way too thin blouse, brrrr.
Well, not Autobahn can get as dangerous when tractors and such crawl without warning-lights and... motorbikes super-fast. I hate driving in Germany - or maybe everywhere since my accident.

Sorry about work frustrations. I had the same this past week. I met with the Financial Planner and he said I could retire now. I am seriously considering it.
Love your cherry picture. I agree, KFC and many others have gone downhill. We had a terrible meal this week and it was so expensive. Will be staying home more especially with gas prices going up so much the past several weeks.

Sorry you had a bad time at the wedding. Ingo looked great. I know you were unhappy about it even before you went, so I wonder if that was part of the problem, or if it was just the cold.
People get nervous because getting married is a BIG event. Maybe not for you, but for nearly everyone else. I got nervous before acting in a play in high school, or in a singing competition. If you aren't a bit nervous, it must not mean much to you.

I love fried chicken, but we don't usually buy KFC. We get the local grocery stores because it is so tasty and crispy. Old fried chicken is so disappointing.
So funny that they handed out paper fans at the wedding, but it was cold. Sounds like they mis-judged the weather.

Ingo sieht sehr fesch aus in seinem Hochzeitsanzug - sehe ich sogar einen Kummerbund? Die letzte Hochzeit, bei der ich war, war in Istanbul und alles andere als langweilig. Toll, dass Ingo nähen kann - mein Mann kann das auch (hat er bei der Bundeswehr gelernt), ich nicht. KFC mögen wir nicht, und wie die Tiere behandelt werden, ist unter aller Sau. Nein danke.
First, that is so cool that Ingo shortened your dress for you. Mr. M. knows how to sew a bit but not clothes. He used to make man bags out of leather. Anyway, Ingo looks so handsome in his suit. I was expecting a photo of you. It seems like traveling there is quite difficult. Don't know what I would do without my car. LOL Hmmm the cauliflower and avacado look great. I don't eat fast food and KFC was never my favorite. I like the little gifts they handed out at the wedding. I guess they thought it would be hot and you would need the fan. Love all of your art and you can do the new job no problem. Have a nice evening.

Ingo is a keeper to be able to alter clothes. I can barely sew on buttons. Never mind using a sewing machine. I can understand the bride and groom feeling nervous on their wedding day. Having to stand up in front of all the people. Everyone's eyes on you. Too bad they didn't get the Summer weather they planned for. Best wishes to the Happy Couple, too. Happy T Day
