My Tuesday-ticket for Elizabeth´s T - a mini-wee-alcohol-invovled drink, "Gin Basil Smash with lemon", very refreshing.
The basil, yes, I could even taste it. Pic taken after work, of course - though I heard different stories from others!

Here
in Germany you can buy Schnaps at the grocery store (or gas station,
kiosk etc) - 07:00 a.m. these things are bought and right outside...
they go down the throat! (Brrrrr)
There
even was a Playmobil-series with constructions-workers. It had a carton
of beer - now not added no more, but I see them after work walking with
a well-earned bottle of Wolters, a local beer in their hand/at their mouth, and yes, here you can walk the street and drink whatever you want.
As long as you behave, of course.
Freedom, right?

Monday: Worked my way through.
Tuesday: Weather, must I say more? Sooooo tired, no training.
Talked to the Polish colleague - had to interrupt 5 times cause I did not understand. And that causes him to talk even faster, alas!
He is supernice, but...
Wednesday: Same as Tuesday. The weather really tears me down, so much so I have no idea how I spend my days! Work, eat, "cook" - certainly the other way round, work, TV, eat, TV, bed. So exhausting!
Polish colleague let me know he´s working for me. Nice! (Like really, he´s a nice guy!)
Thursday: Same... oh, boy, sooo tired!
"Met" a new colleague, she is super-nice, we chatted for over an hour! As if we knew each other for ages.
Teamleader called, maybe new project.
Another new colleague called me, maybe new project. I think I can stop worrying? But then... what if I fail. I am too old to learn new stuff all the time! Or too tired...
Couldn´t believe it when teamleader wished me a nice weekend - it is Thursday already, how can time fly so darn fast???
Contacted new colleagues and planned meetings. Chapeau to secretaries, it´s a tough job!
Friday: Went recycling. Cash-out woman B: "Good morning, my love 🥰"
Nice! Other sessions with Polish colleague K. Boy can he talk fast.
He gave me 25 tasks, too. And that language-mix! When he shares it all is in Polish (I don´t understand anything), talking is German, writing English.
After asking back - kaboom, - task #26! LOL!!!

Weekend: Saturday: Went to the market - pics to come.

They are "broken" and had no price-tag - they sure needed our home.
Nothing
on TV, so I watched another episode of Quantum Leap. Nuclear Shelters,
"Sam" is to sell and tells a rather poor lady "the Russians" will not
attack and not waste money on the shelter. Just to see she wears a
Na#i-number-tattoo. Hard stuff.
"Al" says, "you are real a Mensch" - on asking back Al explains it means "a good person".
Another German word you use I had no idea of.
See - that is why I watch series and movies in the original... to learn.

I can't eat radishes, they "burn" my mouth, same with blueberries, but there are plenty of things I can eat. I don't like the taste of basil except on pizza, but I am going to try basil pesto one day soon. I love the smell of basil.
I really laughed at the drawing of you with six arms, sometimes that's how work feels, right?
I think our radishes are milder then?
But blueberries can be sour. I love the sweet ones (yes. That sounds crazy as I claim I don´t like sweets, I know. Licorice, Blueberry and red Watermelon I do like. Cinnamon-ice-cream. Caramel. On very rare occasions apple pie. Oh, heck. Sometimes I like sweets!).
Pizza!!! I LOVE pizza!
Yes, work is a tad crazy atm... better than boring, though!
I don't eat radishes, too hot for me but I like Basil!
Love the description of Monday, I used to know that feeling, haha and of keep being given more work, my husband always tells our son when he complains that always give the job to a busy person, you know it will be done!

This is a great post, Iris. You are so busy with work and it always impresses me how you do it in so many different languages. In all but 24 states we are NOT allowed to consume alcohol on the streets. The 24 just don't have a law about it. However, with that said, the homeless drink, do drugs, fall out on the sidewalks, start fights and nothing happens to them. When I was in Japan there were kiosks on every street with beer and other drinks. It was the first time I had seen that. Ohhhh lilies. They are so pretty. Basil gin drink. I wish I could try that. You have a nice day today.

I've never had basil in a drink before. Sounds interesting. I've somehow never seen Quantum Leap... probably because I don't tend to watch time travel-related shows.

I love radishes but never had them on a sandwich. I'm going to have radishes, which I bought today, on rice cakes with hummus. Hope you are having a great day/evening.
I'm not a radish fan but have so much basil growing that I could open a market stall. Never tried it in a drink though.

You work so hard and are so busy that I get tired just reading about it! It's good you have nice new colleagues.
Radishes are nice (but not too many) I like them cut up very finely in a salad. It gives a nice 'crunch'.
I've never had a basil drink before but it sounds nice and refreshing.
