The seminar on fire protection on trains moved to 22nd. Great, the info will be totally fresh when we hop on the train to Frankfurt. Gah!

Nice chats with female K (from now on "fK"), but male K (mK) is really driving me nuts! We had the "final design" and instead of building the structure so I can start working he made design suggestions. Not working WITH me, but parallel! Again!
So another design-round, this time with J. Sad L is on holiday - she would have had the guts to tell him off! It.is.the.darn.intranet, for crying out loud!
When I worked for ALSTOM, often 11+ hours, all I had time for was.... time recording.
Seems like those who work internal have a lot of time on their hands...
Went recycling. It was so cold outside, my nose started bleeding when I came back inside.
Made me thinking of the Ukrainians, and Russian soldiers, too. Why does Put#n not brave up and go himself. He sits in some secret, warm palace with good food&drink.

Friday: Chatted with fK, then Bro called 🥰! At work! People think when you work from home... aw, well, it was Friday and I needed a break. Fun was - my Bro is his own boss - he talked to customers meanwhile (he had the phone in his ear, I then put him on speaker and worked, also).
Was like being a kid again and waiting for Mom to get finished with her customer to tell me which groceries to buy (she REFUSED to write a list).
It snowed.
Then to the city. Ingo got himself proper clothes for our train ride with the Indian Pacific.

It will be a constant 22C/71F inside, whilst when we get out around 39C/102F. I will be cold inside. This is a luxury train - what can I wear to keep me warm over a dress??? What is appropriate???
Women can wear anything, right? I plan on 2 jersey dresses Ingo presented me with: Summer-Gurri (red with white dots) and a blue one with anchors I wore at his Brother´s Wedding.
What warming stuff goes with that???

Weekend: Saturday: A docu on Sport in East-and West-Germany. Certainly with the horrible Olympics in 1972. Did my walking outside despite the nasty weather - did me good.

Sorry you are so cold. Also that you had to stand outside for so long. 15F sounds balmy to me. Yesterday it warmed a lot. We hit 7F with an overnight of -4. Feels like temp was -16F. Sorry to read you had a nose bleed from the cold.
Not sure what to tell you about the train ride. 71F sounds really WARM to me. But I prefer cold to heat any day. I would take a sweater that is warm enough for you. Then you can either wear it around your waist in the heat, or put it in your bag when you get to the heat.

Ingo will be dressed really "classic", "extravagant", so a sweater is rather not to go with... I am what you call a "Frosteköttel", I am always cold...
If it wasn´t for the alcohol I would have mulled wine right now!

Such a great post, you are always so busy and how wonderful to be travelling in style 😊. I was thinking you could wear maybe wear leggings with boots and a long sleeved top under your dress? Or maybe something like a faux fur coat or a wool wrap or shawl maybe suitable, also add a scarf to help keep you warm. A fire in the cellar that must have been scary. Glad the firefighters were there and you are safe. Grrr to working with teams. I always hated team work. Either someone holds up what you're supposed to do or like you're situation they change everything and then mess up the deadline. I'm always cold so no matter where I'm going, I usually have a sweater (jumper) with me. Mmm, ravioli! Happy T Day

You are much colder than I am here but cold is cold. I have 4 heaters on in the down stairs and I am still freezing. This is an old house and not very good insulation. My internet was off for 20 hours too. Stay warm.
I love your sketches. The fire sounds scary - that's a long time to be out in the cold. One solution to your outfit could be a wide Pashmina style wrap that you can tie in many stylish ways. I love Ravioli! Happy T Day, Chrisx

Hi Iris, I hear you on the nosebleed! I've had same for a few days now, though we are "only" at -5C today. I do not like cold! How about a nice hoodie to zip up over the dress and some long socks that don't look like socks if you know what I mean? Or a big shawl/scarf that you can wrap around and maybe use for other things like a sarong in the heat. Btw the way talking about red pencils, did you know that Daniel Smith watercolour paints has a colour called Aussie Red Gold? It's a beautiful colour. I use it for outback paintings and Mars. How scary to have a fire in the building! And then having to wait outside in the cold! When we were in Vancouver some years back, we stayed at the Hilton hotel and the fire alarm went off that evening. We all had to leave the hotel and wait outside for about an hour. Then we were let in again. We went to bed again and the blasted thing went off again. This time we were asked to stay in our room. The alarm went off twice again. Needless to say we did not get a good night's sleep. We complained later by letter but did not get any compensation. (I bet it was someone who burnt the toast).
As for something to keep you warm? I would bring a cardigan or a shawl type scarf (Pashmina type). I always carry one when travelling as they are good for cool evenings and also handy in hot countries with cold air-conditioning.
