Here is my true, dumb story:
I once rode a camel.
Because my then-boyfriend wanted us to do that.
Just this week I was at my doc. He is ten years younger than me.
He recently was in Cairo, too, just like me in my early 20s.
Back then we had the chance to visit the pyramids as they were, one of the last people, a week later they closed for "renovation".

The last money went to the darn camel. That was a huge shock for me, boy, was I angry.
The last journey I went on with him, no... I gave him another chance and it was as bad.
My doc visited the now empty pyramid, the treasures, the crown, the bones are now in the museum, the carvings still there.
My "application" to leave sad dumbhead came later, I had to cross a river of betrayals first.
My family never liked him, sad I didn´t trust them (my Bro sadly followed my footsteps, it took him too long to leave a sick relationship).
Glad my life now shines in brighter colors!

Nette Wortspiele mit Kamel - ich wußte bisher noch nicht, daß Braunschweig die Löwenstadt ist. Am bekanntesten war mir bisher die Eintracht....aber die ist momentan ja nicht besonders erfolgreich.

Ich habe mich damals sehr geärgert! Es ärgert mich eigentlich heute noch... Damals war alles vollständig in der Pyramide!
Eintracht.... Die ehemals Braunschweig, jetzt New Yorker Lions sind in der ersten Liga und waren 5 Mal Eurobowl Defender und 12 Mal German Bowl Defender, wie kommt es, dass die "popelige" Eintacht für Braunschweig bekannt ist? Schau vielleicht mal da vorbei :-)

The camel reminds me of a movie I watched on Netflix recently called Tracks. A young woman rides a camel across Australia (true story). You might really enjoy it.

Spare Parts and Pics, we´ve been in the Outback and I saw none, but who knows... Being exposed to the sun all day is not good in Australia. I was dumb and payed with a severe sun-allergy just walking a couple of times from the car to the grocery store...

Hiu Iris, sorry I'm late. I know some people think I'm crazy but I love camels. It's a long time since we were in Egypt but we had a favourite stables that we went to, not far from Luxor and we visited them a few times to ride the camels. one of the best times we had was riding when visiting Lake Nasa and there was a family with us and the wife was part egyptian, she was a brilliant rider and had her baby strapped to her at the same time. I have to say she was a lot braver thasn |I would ever be and a lot mnore skilled too. Anyway I loved your camel story too. Have a great weekend. Hugs Angela xXx
Well done using the prompts! I have to admit, I would like to have ridden a camel when I was young. Sigh. Wont happen now.

Angela, it´s not that I don´t like camels, but we had the chance as of of the last to see the inside of the pyramids as they were!
These days you can visit, but they are empty....

River, no, there was no money for the pyramids.... it all went to that camel.
We were young, we had not much money and I had no clue how little really was left!
Missed a once-in-a-lifetime... And yes, glad I got rid of him!!!
