This was at the Buskers-festival, the city was packed to the brim... and the music way too loud.
... even one guy with a PERTH-t-shirt and a brolly.
OK, that is Ingo, of course, and my Mom was right again: take a brolly, it will not rain!
And despite it was full to the brim our waiter made it possible:
For Ingo the first, for me the second Poretti 2024 (I was there by myself for a pizza and it didn´t feel too odd even).

This was a warm day - right now, still "too cold for the season"...

Beer and pizza I had yesterday, too, the latter made by a colleague and shared with another. (it was our summer-festival).

Is Knuffel a German word??? I thought it was Dutch.

I think we share many a word (not that I know of one right now).

Guide dogs are very well trained, so they don’t snap or snarl at strangers, but I think you aren’t supposed to pet or befriend them as they are at work! I like the new German word Knuffel — I don’t know a word in English that has that unique meaning. But of course if we want to express it we just say “someone you want to hug.” People get very silly when they talk about “English [or whatever language] has no word for X.” Every language has its own vocabulary, that’s not news.

Knuffel, fun word. I'm not fond of dogs. I did have a student in class one time with a service dog. He laid by her feet while she worked. Didn't make noise. You weren't supposed to pet him because he was working. You could have used your cute picture of Ingo and the beer for Tuesday. Enjoy your weekend, I hope it warms up a little

Fun summer times
This looks like a fun time out. Now that Maddie is blind, I am one of her guide people. I bet this dog is friendly. Just look at the tail. If a tail is down and tucked between their legs, leave them alone. They are scared and may not be nice because they are are afraid. And if it's up and wagging, all is good. That's my dog lesson for the day- but you probably already know that. Grin. Have a super weekend. hugs-Erika

I always smile at guide dogs but you are not supposed to interrupt them as they work. Such calm well behaved creatures, Iris.

Erika, I won´t touch a dog or near one. We had a German Shepherd and she was not very friendly... What I think is bad is that dogs are allowed to roam free here.

Guide dogs are very smart. I'm always amazed how well they do their job and not disturbed by people around them. Cool temps here too, no sun for days. :(
Bill, yes, that dude was "cool" in the chaos. And so cute - was hard not to ask for a cuddle!

The dog looks nice, I like the curly coat, Henry looks smart in his coat too. I don't mind crowds as long as I can get out from the middle when I need to, but I find buskers annoying if they are too close so you can still hear one while approaching another. They need to have enough distance so your ears can adjust. I am okay with loud music as long as it is the type of music I like.
The dog was really very gentle and cute.
I am old. Buskers in my eyes don´t need to be loud but good.
These were but loud.
Since I lost most of the hearing in my right ear I am even more careful... and annoyed...
My Dad was also an ear specialist for hearing aids and I grew up with "put the sound down or you´re deaf by age 30!". That stuck!
A guy in a Perth shirt, ha! Had me for a second there. Sounds like a good time and Henry looks smashing as usual.
