I may have posted this pic before, but with our silly faces from ca 1997 I join Nicole´s FFO as Erika inspired me with her holiday-post on Greece a lot with her great art!
I just finished train #1 for Oslo and am quite knackered, so no sketching from my side.
Hippo is still naked... sorry, Nicole...
But let me show you what we saw in "decade gone by"...
No idea how it is like today, back then... - no taxes when your house is not finished but you can live in it.
That was, as said, ca 1997. You would not find a difference in how Ingo looks like today.
I am pretty sure the trousers are other ones but look is the same, LOL - goes for the shoes, too.
We are no "influencers" or "hip" persons. Style found (must be practical), style stays.
My hair... the same since... 1995?
All I did buy: 70´s style clothes. Fashion, huh?
Back to Greece (where my sweet doc is from, too, he´s really more like a little Brother)...
A "blue" island!
Quite a journey to get there... 90% of the people puked their souls out.
But!!!! It was worth it (one woman puked into her hands, I´ll never forget that).
I was on a boat before I could really walk so waves and a wild boat-ride don´t bother me.
Two uncles who were marine engineers says it all, huh.
... no room or such needed...

I have come to an age where I agree entirely with you about fashion. It needs to be practical and "fuss free" for me.
Those faces are enough to make anyone smile. Sadly I can't cope with the sea, only been on it twise and sick both times though I'm fine on river boats. Comfy clothes for me definitely. Have a good weekend. Hugs Angela xXx
Fashion? I never cared for it. My grandmother sewed all my clothes so when I was still living at home, until my 20th (University in my city),she would sew mini dresses, pants with flares, etc, very 70s. Living on my own, it all went downhill fashionwise. And I still am not very fashionable. I buy what I like and what suits my body. I buy my clothes at Lidl, the market or at one of the two boutiques here in the village.
Well done for finishing the Oslo assignment.
I loved the photos from Greece. I've never been to Greece, but from what I've seen it's very beautiful. At uni I studied Santorini (I studied geology and Santorini is a famous underwater vulcano. It erupted 3500 yrs ago and its tzunami wiped out the Minoan civilazation on Crete.)

And I'm not very stylish or a fashionista too. And I don't think I'd want to be an influencer either. Too much pressure-even though some of them make a lot of money- but whatever. Fashion. Yeah, I'm not a fashionista, either. Whatever is comfortable. I've worn my hair short with a few variations since 1968 since my brother's girlfriend was a hairdresser and she cut my hair like Twiggy. I was 13.
1997 was decades ago. I have never been to Greece and Crete. I know about it by reading Homer and watching documentaries on Netflix.

I would also like to visit Santorini. Boats don't bother me. I was on a small boat several times when I went whale watching. Some of the swells made some of the people sick, too. Loved the funnies, especially Picard.
It looks so beautiful but I do terrible on boats. I'm usually the first to get seasick. I like your silly faces!!
Going through old photos is so engaging! I had everything in albums until around 2002 when I switched to digital and started taking dozens of photos for every one I had on film/paper. Nice that you can find your photos from a specific place!

Santorini looks lovely, all that while against the bright blue sky. I was on a boat before I could walk too, we left Germany when I was six months old and I took my first steps on the boat, but not free walking, just standing up in my cot and walking around holding the sides.

I got it for a hat. That I lost on a ferris wheel in wind (how dumb can one be...)
