As you maybe know European Soccer has started and Germany is the place where the "fight"(s) take place (In American Football they play and there are no hooligans).
Either way even Die Maus had soccer as theme.
And explained about the grass.
The grass got mowed to one size... but one!!!
On being asked he stuttered he´d bent down to tie his shoes and was told he does not even have feet!!!
He has ROOTS!
I was a flower at age 4, working in my sleep on a puzzle ages 6+ my parents gave me.
In this dream - the puzzle was a nice scene up a road to a nice house with beds of flowers to both sides - I had three roots and was fleeing from a road-work-machine.
I had that dream over and over again.
The other flowers shouted, "run into the grass!" - but I just couldn´t, I stayed on the bitumen road and ... try to run for dear life with three roots and earth still hanging on them.
I am now 52 and that dream is still so clear in my head I am a tad afraid of tonight...
There are two other dreams of back then.
I was a crocodile in a dry place and at another time a tennis-ball jumping around the field, faster and faster and faster until I woke totally exhausted - thank you, Boris Becker, Germany was crazy about darn tennis.
Do you still have bad - or wonderful??? dreams from your childhood?
To end on a more or less nice note. For May first the night before Dad put up a branch of some tree with white buds to bring luck.
I certainly thought of insects being in there and crawling over me through the night.
Also I was sleeping (for real) in a fire truck high up.
Was a clever thing with wardrobe, shelves and all that under the high-bed.
Yeah, see why I dislike soccer? Brings back but bad memories..

They do not, I saw... how sad, huh. The players pretend to fall or pretend to be sick, the "fans" fight.

I don't watch soccer or American football. Hockey is the game for me. Or baseball.
Funny. Maria and her family all play(ed) soccer in school. In fact, Julia wants to be a pro soccer player and has a soccer scholarship to the University of Utah. However, I think soccer is boring. It's just my thing.
Baseball and basketball for me. Gave up watching football many years ago and soccer, I don't understand it and not interested.
Not a sports fan here. I find it all a big waste of time and the planet's resources.
I don't recall any dreams from childhood, certainly no bad ones. I was never afraid of anything, so there was nothing bad for me to dream about. I remember having a nightmare when I was 32, we had recently moved to a new town and the very next night my husband had the same nightmare. I hadn't told him what happened in mine, but when he told me after I woke him, then I said it was the same as mine the night before. We decided something bad must have once happened in that house, but there were no more nightmares.
I am not a sports fan, not of any kind of sport, though I do like to watch ice skating dancers on youtube.
CJ, it sure hurt to read this. This "tops" German hooligans, sadly!
Why not just enjoy a game????

Bill, good thing there are many different sports and soccer I was explained too often by a teamleader and still didnt´(want to) get it... Ingo and I even went on a Sunday afternoon to join him.
Ingo faced him, not the screen, it was hilarious!!!! Ingo just didn´t get the concept, LOL!!! Thank you for that memory.

And really.... if Ingo had the same nightmare as myself in a new home I´d move out! Too "Supernatural" ;-)

Dancers are always lovely to watch.
So sad I have no talent at all, and neither has Ingo - it´s good for the brain, helps against Alzheimer´s/Dementia, I´ve read....
But I remember in pain how we learned the standard-dance for some weddings (not ours, there was NO dancing!).
