Here in Germany Halloween is not really "a thing" yet, but one time a kid really rang the bell - we had sweets - and Ingo opened the door with this mask on:

Last time we visited Freo Prison we were told a very, very similar story.
An 18 year old boy stuck his head out of the window in a hot summer´s night and BOOM. Was shot in the head. That night four others were shot dead, too ... out of "fun". They caught the killer later. The "guard" aka guide asked me if I´m OK. Obviously I looked a bit... shaken.
Next time we skip! They offer a night-tour and I sure as hell will not go!

That spooky mural is really good! I hope the kid wasn't too scared when Ingo answered the door in that mask. This year the twins house is all pumpkins and skeletons for Halloween. I have a few things here, packed away because I don't want kids coming to the door, so I will take them to their house when I visit on Thursday.

A very cool mural. Love the masks, especially the piggy. All the little dudes waiting for the train are so cute. And yes, you definitely have to make jokes and laugh when situations are so serious. I bet your mutti appreciated you making the joke. Children's laughter is music to a mother's ear.
That demon face in your small hall is really creepy. And it's good you could make your mom laugh when she wasn't doing well. Laughter is the best medicine so they say, even if it doesn't fix the long term problem. And you're getting quite the collection from this Halloween calendar. They are lots of fun.
