OK, this is the wrong time direction!
We started with this:
Ingo can do the world-best roulades but these were... OK, let´s forget about that.
I cannot cook, my Mum always stated. I wasn´t even allowed in the kitchen when she cooked (no kidding).
Buuut...
Ingo went a tad "angry" as I did it just like Jamie Oliver said: Do as you feel.
I didn´t write it down.
I used the rest of the cabbage, some pototoes, spiced with salt and harissa. Meatballs with salt, pepper and fresh chili (OK it was a little "firey" all in all, but it´s cold, so you need something "hot").

Ingo said several times (!!!) it was very yummy.
HA. MUM! HA!
Haaaaa.... We had the gas-man here, I payed him, heating is off :-(
(But Ingo seemed to be able to repair it!!!)

Yes, with meat! And you need to tie them to not brake in the pan. Here is a receipe.

I love mint tea also, but if I have mint in the garden I use the fresh one.

I'm lucky that my husband cooks too, he's very good, he makes thin pancakes and stuffs them with spag bol mixture, puts them in a dish with cheese sauce and bakes, a lasagne but with a difference, rather filling though.
I've had stuffed cabbage leaves with meat and rice inside and they are very tasty.

What a fabulous lion! Your dinner looks good. And Jamie is right -- it's good to follow a recipe the first time. And then, add your own touches. Sometimes they work, sometimes not, but that's part of the adventure!
I'm glad you are starting to enjoy cooking, but quite frankly, that cabbage looks sick to me. Maybe because I can't stand cooked cabbage. I applaud you for cooking, though.

I am fan of cabbage. Have you displaying your art or selling it.
I never banned my kids from the kitchen, they were always there doing something, homework, whatever and helping with cooking too. and they saw what I was cooking and how to do it. All of them could cook a decent meal with dessert included by the time they were 12.

River, we had a typical German 70´s kitchen - no table, no space and I was a kid who could not stand heat at all.

My late first husband was a good cook (Italian) and wouldn't let me touch the cooking but i was watching. So when I married again (with the help of Jamie Oliver) I taught myself to cook. And now I consider myself a good cook. But my current hubby cooks very well so he also cooks sometimes.
