Oh, my goodness, what a month February was!
The meat desaster (that was good for me, actually) and then I bought stamps.
As a beginner I thought.. go for the cheapy stuff and try if it is something for you at all.
I made a background, arranged feathers and hearts.... looked up a quote and... started.
"Y". Good, that worked. "OU". Fine
"A", fun! but then... WHAT IS THAT?!!!
OK, take a paper and turn the stamp. No. Turn. No. Am I DUMB?????
OK, Ingo argues if I was supposed to create Chinese font I likely failed, too.
ALL. Really ALL letters are "on the left"! I´m not dumb, Ingo tried and said, nope.

The hugging Monks were a pressie from my Mum.
My Brother got them in White and Blue, Salt and Pepper, what you need in life, right (no irony!).
Food-wise?
Lean beef, breadcrumbs, rucola, salt, pepper, yes, you can eat that.
AKA I won´t repeat that, see title!
I think I also need to explain the meat desaster/oven thingy... I´m not a whimp.
My Brother is (also) a goldsmith, he works with heat. He can take a lasagna out of the oven with a tea towel and a cheapy glovie of thin cloth (!!!!)!
He says it´s "warm", and that´s what he feels.
(2003 maybe, Cologne)
Ingo works with real hot stuff... they both can touch things where I let go in a split-second cause to my fingers it´s BURNING HOT.
Ingo always wants me to "taste" when cooking. "Not hot, just warm". I burned my mouth (swollen).
I dare(d) the oven with these:
River said - and she is right, I guess - it´s a phobia. And hence I am proud I got (a bit) over it more or less by myself.
But it´s also how I feel. Your warm is HOT to me. Fingers, mouth... HOT!
The oven was (still is a bit) my worst enemy.
Now to some real art:
I got a pressie from far away America! :-)
This lady now looks and smiles at us whenever we´re in the kitchen!

My master's thesis involved rotation of images. The E can be rotated to the proper direction, but I think that G is built wrong. It is reversed, but I guess you found that out.
Those red mitts are wonderful looking. Believe me, I burned my entire mouth (roof and tongue) when I drank so coffee my friend Scott drinks. It scalded my mouth and I had trouble eating for several days until the blisters went away. It's NO FUN, I know.

I've burned my mouth on pizza too many times! I love everything here. Your card is really cute and I think the backward letters have a certain charm. (Maybe not for everything but now and then!) And also those meatballs. Yum. Those kitchen mitts are great. I have some silicone ones I use a lot and they always work well.
You'll be cooking in that oven in no time because you are making a point of it and that's what counts.

I can totally understand your 'your cold is my hot' situation. I have a husband like that. When our coffee is practically too hot for me. He has to warm it up in the microwave to make it even hotter! And he also has asbestos fingers when it comes to taking stuff out of the oven.

The Lion stamp works okay, it makes his ruff stand out more. The letters are too bad though. Maybe you can use them to stamp a message on a window to be read from the outside.
Your rucola is what we call rocket and the Americans call it arugula.
