Funny, btw, Ingo told me there is a docu on digging gold. In German of course, and sadly. Kalgoorlie, Meekatharra etc (sweet memories of 1999). Funny enough in German in this docu they said "Western Australia", not "West Australien". A lille treat.
Do you know how it works here?
The speaker starts in English, good. Then mid-sentence the German one sets in - annoying. You hear everything twice and miss out on the rest and sometimes it´s translated badly, too.
Sorry, rant over.
Maybe, coming back to the theme, in the future also the dumb German may choose the language on TV...
Christmas 2006 we watched the Back to the Future movie part 1 on TV. In Perth, Western Australia. In stinkin´ hot temps in a cabin without aircon. Back to Ingo´s toys, shall we?

Watch the documentary with Josh Gates. It is very very very good. (He is one of my TV favorite personalities). And love all your Back to the Future models. How much fun!!!!!!! We finished rewatching the trilogy last night. Might have to watch again before Netflix drops them on June 30. Or as they do in Europe 30 June. These are really fun Iris. What a great post.

Cars!!! I laughed at your discussion about the English and German translation of a movie. Reminded me of when we were in Zagreb, Croatia in 1990. We watched a Tom Hanks movie there and it was in English with Croatian subtitles on the bottom. I laughed immediately at the jokes, but the rest of the audience laughed later after they had read the subtitles. Delayed reaction! Oh my!
Those are super cute Iris! Ingo did a great job with them! Not just because of the cute toys but also the diorama that he did with the background and all, it adds so much drama to the display, so cute! And it's amazing that these toys are made in Germany because as we know, almost everything now is made by one other country.

Never saw Back to the Future. Portland, Oregon set a new temp record yesterday at 108F (42C) and today it will be 112F (45C). Our daughter lives there and she's not happy. Sounds hellish. :)

Lego can be such fun if you have the patience to put things together. I do not, sadly. I loved seeing the flashing lights on the Delorean. And all the other pieces to tell the story.
I have no patience for that, either! It´s not fun for me!
