I love sheep! Sadly the nearest I get to is that pic on the wall these days.
When Ingo still lived in the village we sometimes visited sheep and had a nice chat with them (I hope!!!).

Sadly we never passed by a farm directly - the people flew out in small planes.
Red dust everywhere. We loved that.

Oh, and. We had two jerrycans of gas on the top of our car.

We always had three jerrycans plus bottles! Ingo said at tops we had 45 l of water with us!

... went to the police station to report there is a leak in the water pipe at the dune you see in pic above..
The police officer will be back in a few days, he went to the next town. Huh, what?! (They took care of the leak that day).
We saw a jellyfish in Darwin - in the museum - costumed as a "sea-wasp", with a mean look ;-)

A visit Down Under is on my bucket list. I'd be able to visit 3 friends/colleagues. Kaz from Melbourne now retired to Tasmania, Opal from Sydney now retired to Tasmania, and Toots from Warners Bay.
I long to go back to Australia, but only in the winter when the temperatures are bearable. When my friends tell me they have five days in a row over forty degrees I know I don't want to be there then!

That sheep has a great expression.
I too love sheep. I use to help my friend in North Washington state at shearing time. It was hard work but for me so much fun. Then, later we would sit on the porch to clean and spin wool. I loved visiting her.
Hope to play more once I retire.

Shearing sheep is jolly hard work - it was always my job to feed the shearers and boy could they eat!!!
Thank you, this was fun to read. I remember my time on a sheep station, getting the kitchen fire going in the stove at 5am, cooking, cooking, cooking...
